Teenage actress Scout Taylor-Compton has been placed on the California police missing persons register list after disappearing on August 12.

The Sleepover actress, who also appeared on TV show Gilmore Girls has been reported missing by worried family members in Apple Valley, California.

In a statement released earlier yesteray, the young actress' family has thanked officials searching for her. They said: "We are praying for her safe return. We have faith in the agencies working on the case and are optimistic that the outcome will be positive."

Thats odd. I only read it today and I just saw she has been found. Hmmm. lol.

Sixteen-year-old actress Scout Taylor-Compton, who recently vanished from her family, friends and the media for nearly two weeks, has been found.

Taylor-Compton, who has appeared in the television show "Gilmore Girls" and acted in last year's feature film "Sleepover," had gone missing from her home in the Southern California community of Apple Valley on August 12. According to San Bernardino County Police, the actress' mother had reported her missing and the authorities were considering the red-headed child actor to be a runaway.

According to Taylor-Compton's publicist, the young actress has been found safe and is recovering from the ordeal, but no other information is currently available. The Apple Valley sheriff's department is expected to make a statement shortly.

they only made it public that she was missing yesterday.... that's so weird...makes me wonder about the legitimacy of this whole thing... i'm sorry but it's true...anything these days could be a publicity stunt...

Yeah...there's a MySpace thing for her disappearance.

I've known about this for a week. But I'm really glad that she's been found safe.

oh yeah i found out yesterday that she was missing but i'm glade she is okay. I didn't know her ontill today that they said that she was from sleep over and Gilmore Girls. But anyways thats good that she is save

This story had actually been out longer than a day, it came out I believe a day after she went missing. I don't see it as a publicity stunt, she has nothing to promote, she basically ran away from home.

Well it only seemed to appear on sites the day she was found. Well at least she is okay.
