Flaming Angry Fahrenheit 9/11

I have got to see Michael Moore's documentary Fahrenheit 9/11. Damn... it looks so good. In the trailer where the congressman is all "Sit down son. We hardly read any bills." I was going WOAH! I really think this film will make a difference in the coming election. I really want to see it, but it's R. I'll try to badger my parents to come with me. It's R for language (which is no problem for them in a movie) and disturbing images (which are images of the beheading of an american soldier and video of the abu gharib prison). Their trying to get it PG-13 though. It's not opening in all theaters but it is in alot.

Check out the trailer here:

I really want to see this too. Unfortunately, we only have one theater here pretty much...and I know we're not getting it. There are two other really really REALLY small theaters in the area that usually get independent-released films, but only after they've been out for pretty much forever Argh!

If we got that film in our theatre, I'm sure the Bush supporters would burn it down!

Im not from USA so i wont give my opinion about presidents but i think it was a bad time to release this movie, i mean...

It is obviously a good campaing for the Democrats (im not sure how to write it) and now they also have a good campaing for Clinton with another documentary were people can see the good side of his presidential period, when the president was a Democrat.

I think that Republicans should have also the oportunity to do a campaing like that, maybe exposing the good side of them or the bad side of the others as the Democrats are doing it.

Again: im not talking about politics and presidents and what they are doing or what they should do; im saying that both of them (Democrats and Republicans) should have campaings in the same levels.

Well, if it's even half the eyeopener that Bowling For Columbine was, I'd like to see it. But I will wait for video.

The republicans have a hell of a lot more campaign money than the democrats have this year. I can't remember the exact amount, but Bush had a LOT more than Kerry.

One of the beauties of being a free country, is free speech.
This movie isn't a campaign FOR Kerry, its a movie against Bush. And I'm SURE the Republican party will launch a large ad campaign telling all the 'evil' things Kerry did (Such as AHHH protesting against the Vietnam War with Jane Fonda!).

Dont believe everything Moores film says.

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Rep. Mark Kennedy has unhappy memories of his filmed encounter with leftist moviemaker Michael Moore, an encounter featured Thursday in a trailer for the upcoming U.S. release of the film "Fahrenheit 9/11."

"I was walking back to my office after casting a vote, and all of a sudden some oversized guy puts a mike in my face and a camera in my face," said the Minnesota Republican. "He starts asking if I can help him recruit more people from families of members of Congress to participate in the war on terror."

Kennedy said he told Moore that he has two nephews in the military, one who has just been deployed in the Army National Guard.

But to Kennedy's annoyance, his response to Moore was cut from the trailer (and from the film, according to a spokeswoman for the movie).

"The interesting thing is that they used my image, but not my words," Kennedy said. "It's representative of the fact that Michael Moore doesn't always give the whole story, and he's a master of the misleading."

A spokeswoman for the film, which has found a U.S. distributor after the Walt Disney Co. refused to release it, said she had no comment.

A transcript released by the film's producers shows Moore telling Kennedy that "there is only one member [of Congress] who has a kid over there in Iraq." He asks Kennedy to help him pass out literature encouraging others "to get their kids to enlist in the Army and go over to Iraq."

Kennedy replies, "I'd be happy to. Especially those who voted for the war. [As Kennedy did.] I have a nephew on his way to Afghanistan."

To which Moore replies: "I appreciate it."
