Yep. Sarah's contract expires after the 7th season. And Joss is doing "other" projects.

This is really sad. Buffy is one of my favorite TV shows... EVER.

And the 6th season finally part II is REALLY AWESOME. It's so shocking you would not even believe who the bad guy is. Although, you would have known if you saw the part I.

Tuesday. I will be there. Good VS Evil.

This year has been really good. A lot of irony and surprises and terrible things happening... and more terrible things happening... and twists and ANGER (mostly from us actually because everything is plain CRAZY).

I will miss the show. I hope the 7th season would be the best.

It is only a rumour that the show will end after season 7, this is all because that Nick brendon (Xander) hinted that the season 'might' be ending after the 7th season. Plus, it is also widely speculated that UPN are in talks with Joss Whedon to produce another spin off, so even if Buffy itself does end, there will be plenty of Buffy spin off to watch.

One spin off which is in production is 'Ripper' in which Giles is the central character, and it is set in England. This spin off has been confirmed and will probably hit TV screens next year.

Another spin off which is rumoured is a Dawn spin off. It has been rumoured that she will become a Slayer, seeing as she has Buffy's blood.

One last spin off which has been rumored to be being mulled over by Marti Noxon (2nd in command from Joss

) is a unique one off series in which each episode explores the death of a Slayer in the past.

In my opinion, I don't think that UPN would just 'let Buffy go' if it is still bringing in the ratings, and even if Buffy did end, there will be loadsa spin off to watch, which will probably feature the main characters from Buffy at one time or another.

WOW That's great news!!!!! I just know they could make tons of spin-offs with Buffy *cough Angel cough*. A Giles series? Cool!! I read about the Dawn spin-off in an interview. I personally don't like her, and think she would suck as a slayer *too girl-next doory* but whatever.

i hear it may come back but without joss whedon (i hope not cause i dont want it to be known as a show that was good but ended crappy)

actually there's rumors of a ripper (giles) series in the uk. but the reason anthony stewart head left was cause his family missed him. maybe if they did a giles series shot in england.

i wouldnt mind a spike series

yeah sadly it is only contracted for seven seasons, but this was announced right after it moved channels. All hope isnt lost though, the contract can be extended but the way Sarah has been talking, if it does go on, it will be without her. And there is no point in Buffy without Sarah

its gone on for 7 seasons, thats a milestone
