Are you kidding me? The third Batman was the best! Jim Carry was absolutely lovely in there.

The last one was crap though, I do agree.
Anyways, I've been waiting for this movie for a while. I'm not sure if I like the storyline here though. In the first movie, when Batman fights the Joker, it was supposedly his first big battle. Nobody knew who he was, he introduced himself to the villans in the movie "I'm Batman, tell your friends.". The whole 'new sheriff in town' ordeal.
Not to mention how Batman gives Commisioner Gorden the Bat sign on the rooftop at the end of the movie. In Batman Returns came his second big fight. Hence "Returns".
So it doesn't make sense to give him a new big battle BEFORE all that went down. While I think it's interesting to see how Batman came about, I also think we've seen most of that already. So it's more or less going to be a remake, heh.
I really dislike remakes. Like they all think now that it's 10-20 years later, we can automatically make better movies, so history can screw it. They remake the Punisher, the remake The Hulk.. but really, apart from bigger budgets, those movies were no better than the originals from back in the 80's.
So all I can say is that I hope this fifth Batman will at least be connected to the other Batman movies, or else it's just gonna be stupid.
