i saw it last night... the movie was okay.... if you notice all of eminem's lines were either soft, normal speaking, or loud yelling... i think was done to disguise the fact that he's probably not the greatest actor in the world... i thought that was interesting...
i found the story dragged a lot, and i was very very unimpressed by kim basinger's performance... in fact, i thought it was second worse only to brittany murphy...
i thought mekhi phifer did pretty well, given the stereotypical role he was given...
their little "crew" was rather contrived... the intellectual, the stupid guy, the cool guy, and of course, the fat guy...
im more of a fan of freestyle and battle rapping, so for me i would have liked to seen more of that, but i was surprised that they had that many, so i was happy with that... the verses were all rather slow, but thats understandable...
overall, i thought it was an okay movie... i didn't expect much, and i didn't go home dissapointed...
i cant wait until the freestyle verses surface on kazaa... if anyone has them, could you send them to me?
freestyle fans...
