Um why is the opening ceremony themed by 70s-80s American Pop Music?

I wondered the same thing...I loved the lighting of the torch..But over all, I was a lil' disappointed with the opening ceremonies.

I didn't see the opening ceremony, I don't bother to watch 2-3 hours to such thing.

This afternoon I watched the 5000 metres speed skating for men. Chad Hedrick, with far, the best.

Dutchy Sven Kramer ended 2nd with a silver medal.

I was sitting there all tense when I was watching him last night, but I knew he was going to win! I was so happy for him...I got all misty eyed when he was talking about his grandmother and even more so when he actually won.
