I just wanted to share this with you guys. I've never seen them promote a house show like this before.

August 2, 2003 WWE UPCLOSE AND UNCENSORED PENGROWTH SADDLEDOME CALGARY, AB, CA


They have been advertising the fuck out of this show on The Score (SmackDown) and TSN (Raw). Rowdy Roddy Piper has been doing the promos for this, saying that "Calgary, Canada is the only town that can handle a Pipers Pit this big" I may have paraphrased a bit, but not much. At almost every commercial break on the WWE Update with Mark Lloyd they're mentioning something about this. There are about 3 other events that are occuring in Canada at that time, including Raw in Vancouver (Originally slated to be SmackDown) and they have hardly advertised any of those.

Anyways, like I said, Pipers Pit is going to be there, and Roddy's special guest / host wiill be Vince McMahon. Ticketmaster also says Zack Gowen will be there so

Its supposed to be really big. I havent got tickets yet, I cant afford them. So hopefully I'll have a job by then, and I'll be able to attend.

Anyways, just wanted to let you know. I found it kind of odd that they are promoting a house show like this. Hmm!

Yes Piper got fired after some remarks he made on a radio show about his drugs abuse. He's out and it's official. Sorry that I needed to tell you with your eye set on this event.

Oh, I didnt really give a shit. Pipers Pit was never really my favorite part of the show. I just thought it was weird how they were advertising something that wasnt even gonna be on TV.

I'm seeing a feud with Zack Gowen, which will lead to a feud with Mr America for the push. Just because that was sort of an angle they were trying to spark in a round about way. Unless of course, I'm still outta the loop and something has happened to make that unplausable.

I don't see them joking with a legend like Hogan/America dying ... Hogan openly said he has enough of the WWE? He wants to quit and do some more work in Japan in the near future!
