| WWE Tour of Defiance in St. Louis! | | So this was my second time to attend a WWE show. This show was exclusively featured superstars from the RAW brand.
It was fucking great. We got there about two hours early. The doors opened at 6:30. I went to get a Kane hat. Then we went to our seats in the SECOND ROW!!! We were basically about 10 feet from the ring. I was so damn happy. And there were such great fans sitting around us the whole night which made things even more fun. The only negative was that I wouldn't be seeing Trish or Brock. But I forgot about that quickly. Lillian Garcia came out and started things off. This other lady came out and got a hell of an ovation for her performance of the Star Spangled Banner. Steven Richards vs. Tommy Dreamer
Very loud in the arena with the ECW Chant. E-C-Dub! E-C-Dub! Tommy came out with the victory after a powerful DDT. D'Lo Brown, Johnny The Bull and Shelton Benjamin vs. Justin Credible, Chris Nowinski and Shawn Stasiak
Sean O'Haire was supposed to be in this match. But for whatever reason, he wasn't. Johnny was moved to the opposite team and Christopher Nowinski replaced O'Haire on the heel team. D'Lo was the star of the match. He hit the Sky High to get the victory for the face team. Molly vs. Jacqueline for the Women's Championship Special Ref: Victoria
Special Ring Announcer: Stacy Keibler
This match was great. Stacy looked hot as usual. She wasn't a bitch. Victoria counted 1-2-3 even though she probably knew Molly's feet were on the ropes for leverage. After the match, Jacqueline took out Molly and Victoria in frustration. Test vs. Bubba Dudley
This match was good. Test looked remarkably huge at that close distance. He took a small American Flag that Bubba had carried to the ring during his entrance and snapped it in half. The actual flag didn't tear. But the stick it was attached to did. There was a huge pop from the crowd when Bubba told himself to get the tables. He set it up but never got to use it. I honestly forgot who won. I want to say Bubba did. I'm pretty sure it was Bubba. Chris Jericho vs. Ric Flair in a St. Louis Street Fight
Chris Jericho got on the mic and talked shit to Flair. Flair called Jericho a wannabe. There were WOOOOOOOOOs. There was bloodshed. There was a trashcan. There were chairshots. Jericho and Flair battled into the crowd and were literally two feet away from me at one point brawling. Jericho had been knocked down and I patted him on the back as did some other fans. Ric laid into Jericho with chops right in front of me. (Yes, I plan to prove it with a picture, if it scans right.) Jericho put the Figure 4 on Flair. Flair got the Figure 4 on Jericho. Jericho got the Walls on Flair twice and made Flair tap the second time around.
INTERMISSION
After the intermission, KSHE95, a classic rock station in St. Louis, had some kind of talent contest. But I just concentrated on the KSHE Girl in her bikini. After the contest was over, she looked over my way. So I smiled and waved at her. And she smiled back. It sucks that I didn't realize on time that I should've motioned to her to come and take a picture with me. Jeff Hardy vs. William Regal
Jeff won the match in under two minutes....with a rollup. Nothing fancy. Pretty boring, actually. The USA chants were strong. Spike Dudley and Jeff Hardy vs. Jamal and Rosey
This match was originally scheduled to be Spike and Bradshaw against Jamal and Rosey. But Spike got on the mic and explained how Bradshaw was at home recovering from the surgery he had for his biceps tear he suffered on RAW. He said he'd face the Samoans alone if he had to. About 30 seconds in to the match, Jeff Hardy ran down to ringside and joined Spike. Spike and Jeff each performed Poetry in Motion. Unfortunately, they could not beat Jamal and Rosey. Regal came and interferred to get revenge on Jeff and helped cost Spike and Jeff the match. Booker T and Goldust vs. Christian and Lance Storm for the Tag Titles (Two out of Three Falls)
Booker and Goldust each came out separately to their own individual entrances and songs. This made me happy because I so badly wanted to see Goldust's entrance and hear his song. The USA chants were again strong. There was actually a dude in the crowd supporting the UnAmericans and waving a Canadian flag. He was heavily booed.
The UnAmericans won the first fall. I think they hit someone with a chair or a belt or something. I'm pretty sure it was cheating. Booker gained the second fall with a Scissors Kick. Then I believe it was in the third fall that Test came in and delivered a Big Boot behind the ref's back and either Storm or Christian made the cover.
After the match, Goldust and Booker were furious. But Goldust convinced Booker to hang around and deliver what St. Louis had paid to see: the Spin-A-Roonie. Book cheered up and delivered perhaps one of the very best Spin-A-Roonie's in the history of the move. But even after that, it wasn't over. Booker told Goldie that the fans had also paid to see.....the Gold-A-Roonie! (Huge pop from the crowd) Goldust's music played, the gold lights shined on the ring, and Goldust delivered a Gold-A-Roonie that was almost just as excellent as Booker's Spin-A-Roonie. Then they slapped hands with fans at ringside. I wasn't quite close enough to get to Booker. But I leaned over far enough to slap hands with Goldie. Triple H vs. Kane for the World Title
Triple H's entrance was even more incredible in person. I got great pics of him spitting his water and posing on the turnbuckle. Kane entered, surprisingly, to the original version of his theme song. I was a little disappointed but got over it very quickly. By the time Kane got really close, I was almost in shock at how huge he was. Kane and The Game were outside the ring right in front of us, but not in the crowd, at one point. Let's see. Kane chokeslammed Hunter. But the ref had been knocked out. Triple H hit a chairshot on Kane. Earl was still knocked out. Nick Patrick came out and counted, but Kane kicked out at two. I just flat out forgot how, but Triple H picked up the victory (not with the Pedigree).
After the match, Triple H celebrated on his usual turnbuckle. But during all this celebration and working of the crowd, Kane had recovered and was just standing quietly in the middle of the ring watching Triple H. Triple H got off the turnbuckle and backed up toward the middle of the ring while still facing the crowd. He kept backing up until he finally bumped into Kane. He stopped, brought his hand up and felt around to notice Kane's head and mask. He turned around slowly, went for a punch, was blocked and then received another powerful chokeslam. Kane stood over Triple H, raised his arms and brought them down setting off the flames in each turnbuckle. Triple H was then left alone. He got on the mic after he recovered, insulted the crowd and the city some more (he did the same before the match), praised himself a little bit and left.
The event ended after Triple H disappeared to the backstage area. |

| Sounds awsome! My only complaint is that i hate when they put titles up at house shows! U know that either the champ will win or be disqualified!
Glad u had fun! I have not been to one in years! |

| Yeah, it is really obvious with the titles. But the older, more intelligent fans know that. The angle works on the younger fans who haven't picked up on all the patterns of wrestling yet.
And it was great. Thank you. I'm picking up the developed pictures in the afternoon tomorrow. So I'll try to scan them and upload as soon as possible and post them directly in this thread or post links. |

| Yeah that makes sense!
lol when i first started watching wrestling i went with my cousin to a show and The Undertaker beat HBK by DQ soo i thought HBK lost the title! lol i started booing and everything and my cousin told me that and i felt kinda dumb!
They could always just face them against each other and drop the title part. Then again i guess that makes no sense because the younger fans might like to see titles on the line! |

| Yep. Plus, it just adds a natural sense of drama to have a title on the line. |

| Thank you, John, for that information. Too bad for Sean, though. He was just starting to get back into the mix, wrestling on Heat every now and then. |
