Well, that was a great PPV, even though I didn't have in mind for Hogan to win it. HBK literally laid down for Hogan after that Big Boot move, which he said he wouldn't do, which kind of sucks. He laid down EXACTLY in position for the Leg Drop. In the match, he contradicted everything he's said about Hogan, heh. Perhaps this was the WWE's attempt of trying to get those thoughts out of our heads. Well, it didn't work!

They did put up a great match though. But I have to give my match of the night award to Rey and Eddie. That match was just pure gold. It's hard to talk about it and do it justice at the same time, you just have to have seen it.

Benoit's win was great. I loved that one. I thought the Batista/JBL match was rather short, though I understand that the WWE needed the air time for plenty of Hogan's taunting *puke puke* -- TWO goddamn World Title matches in the PPV and STILL they put HIM in the main event -- but I'm glad that Batista retained the title and did what he said he was gonna do, kicking JBL's ass. I also enjoyed the Cena/Jericho match a lot. Can't wait to see Bischoff's reaction to this -- *goes and downloads RAW*

I pretty much figured that Randy Orton was gonna win this one. I loved that match, they were both in good shape, and put a great match together. Match wise, it's too bad of Bob Orton's interference, but storyline wise, it prevents the Undertaker from suffering a clean defeat at the hands of a greenie.

I am pretty amazed by Orton's performance though, seeing as he's my age and all. I wish I could do that. lol

All in all, I thought it was an awesome PPV, with the exception of that Fat Joe tune and those stupid "divas". This one was definitely at WrestleMania's level.

Im so very bummed about HBK not winning but I kinda knew he wouldnt. I just dont want a re-match! I agree with you Stinger, on HBK saying that he wouldnt do what he ended up doing LOL. Oh well, so much for HBK's great promos. I still enjoyed them tho.

The highlights where Cena and Batista keeping their titles, Im so very excoted about that. The Eddie/Rey match was wonderful even tho the storyline was pure crap. {In my opinion anyways}. Randy winning was no surprize, I knew he would with or without help. Taker won at Wrestlemania so thats ok. Good PPV over all.

I thought it was a very good show. I also would have to give best match honors to Eddie and Rey. It had so many variables that made it so interesting, especially most of the primary family interfering in the match for the sake of...just that, the family. Not to mention, it would be so easy to have Eddie finally get that victory. But now this is one of those cases where one guy is really being put over another big time. It's like Raven and Tommy Dreamer. It's like Triple H and Batista (Triple H's only victory over Batista was by pinfall in a tag match). It's a nice swerve, a nice break from the usual.

I guess I shouldn't have expected any less from the WWE as far as Hulk Hogan is concerned. He's never going to put anyone over. The last time I remember him putting someone over was when Brock Lesnar brutalized him one-on-one in a Smackdown! match. But I didn't think they'd put him above the heavyweight titles. It isn't exactly making the belts look that important.

And yes, just like everyone else, Shawn made all his promises and then failed to live up to them in the match in the same way everybody else did. He fell for the stupid ass hulk up. Instead of clipping a knee or hitting a low blow, he opted to try to punch Hogan in the head during the hulk up, which has worked a grand total of -32 times. The highlight of the match for me, the only part where Shawn truly looked like he didn't sweat Hogan...he had Hogan in the turnbuckle, slapped him in the face. Hogan gives Shawn the stupid look he does when he's getting ready to hulk up, puckering lips and everything. Shawn looks at him with a "what, you think that impresses me?" expression on his face, ducks a right hand and slaps him right in the face again. I could watch that over and over again.

Hmm... that storyline between Rey and Eddie seems... lame. I haven't paid much attention to SmackDown in probably close to two years. In fact the last episode of SD I've seen, I believe, was when Brock and Big Show broke the ring. But that just seems like the most ridiculous storyline ever. It's way too far fetched. I mean, the probabilty of Eddie being the father of a coworkers son is slim to none. I assume they're saying Rey adopted.

Evenso, they made it look very real. I tell ya, those two can ACT. Especially Eddie, he can act better than Hogan, Piper and Rock combined. When the story was ongoing, and I suspected that Eddie would be Dom's father, I was thinking the same thing, but after having watched them play it out, I began to like it a lot.

I also hope that they won't bring those families on screen again any time soon, cause it would become overkill. Like Booker T's wife, get that screaming distaster away from Booker man, it makes him weak.

Yeah I had the same feeling that Randy would pull off the victory this time. It was a must win situation for him. His character would've been killed otherwise, heh.

Haha yeah that was the only part of the match where I recognized the HBK from the promos. The rest was just a major jobber at work. It was very obvious that he had to make Hogan look extremely strong.

I've never seen that Brock match, though I wish I could. I've seen almost nothing of Brock's rise to the title, except for some PPV matches. Big bummer. :-\

I want Hogan back to heel. His Hollywood character is much cooler, looks much cooler, talks much cooler, and he's more human in the sense that wrestlers will actually be able to beat him heh. And there will be no more 80's hulking up shit going on. And his finisher won't be just one Leg Drop, but about 5 of them in a row. lol

Here's a picture from 1998, where Hogan is actually showing signs of fear:

THANK YOU! I was wondering if I was the only one sick of seeing Sharmell with Booker...or Sharmell in general. I wanted to stab myself in the ears during the storyline with Kurt wanting to have sex with her. Remember when he busted into the locker room to kick Booker's ass and Sharmell was shreaking like bloody murder? Torturous, I'm telling you.

Yeah, that is too bad. That was a huge summer for Brock. I did a little research on this. Brock ditched Bischoff and signed himself solely to Stephanie McMahon's SmackDown! on July 22, 2002. Three days later on his very first Smackdown!, Brock began a reign of terror by running in on Kurt Angle's match and hitting the F5 on Mark Henry. He made a short threat to Kurt on the mic. Later in the night, he interrupted Hulk's match and gave him an F5 then left with Paul Heyman in Hulk's limo, threatening to beat up the driver if he didn't cooperate.

The following week, both Kurt and Hogan demanded a match against Brock. Stephanie set up a match between Kurt and Hogan to determine who would face Lesnar on the next Smackdown!. Backstage, Brock wished victory to both men separately...and demolished Mark Henry in a match in the mean time. Hogan won the match after Kurt got DQed for using a chair. Brock stepped in and F5ed Hogan again.

The next week, Smackdown! hyped up the match by showing a video package of Hogan's history of defeating monsters, giants, and other big men. Early in the night, Brock went to Hogan's locker room and asked Hogan if he's really up for the challenge. Hogan suggested putting the Summerslam title shot against The Rock on the line. Lesnar agreed without hesitating, which infuriated Heyman. The main event finally arrived. Brock overpowered Hogan, even kicked out of the leg drop, and defeated him by submission with his Brock Lock (a bear hug), causing Hogan to bleed from the mouth.

After the match, Brock cracked Hogan in the head with a chair and busted him open, performing acts of rage that even made Paul Heyman concerned. And the show went off the air with Brock standing over Hogan, wiping his blood on his chest.

And THAT, my friends, is the last time Hogan put anyone over in a match.

I went to hooters a little to late to watch it. i got to stand for 3 hours and 25 minutes in the second row behind the bar. my back and legs were killing me. i thought it was a very solid pay per view though. i liked the batista ending. the ladder match was very entertaining. the HBK Hogan match was great at the end but was too slow.
