#11 | | | I smell something... Is it what the Rock is cooking? No, that's not it.
What is that smell? Damn, it's so familiar, I almost have it... yep, it's at the tip of my nose...
Could it be? No it can't... Is what I am smelling the ending years of WCW ALL OVER AGAIN?
I think that is what I am smelling!
And yes that little joke had some seriousness to it. The WWE[F] is doing exactly the samething WCW did towards the ending years there. WWE, instead of building suspence like they did circa 1997 - 2000, they're trying the quick fix it approach. Because Rock makes some big debut one night and lifts the ratings slightly (that didn't even happen) then you think, "Hey we are on track." Well you ain't. When Vince Russo and Ed Ferrea (Two of the leading writers in the WWF that helped bring the change of attitude in 97 which later gave WWF the number one title over WCW in 98 after tyears of battle.) well when they left WWF in the fall of '99 to WCW it was ALL OVER THE NET! The biggest news event in 'rasslin' since the screw job in '97. But would later be exclapsed by the folding of WCW to the WWF. But when they made their writing debute on WCW Nitro, the ratings went from 2.5 to 3.1 in one night! It was big news! WCW made a big turn around in one night, things were looking up for them or so they thought, but only two years later they are bought by the WWF for 8 million dollars.
The WWE[F] needs to think about longterm storylines, start a story now that won't end 'til 10 months for now. That's what won WWF the ratings in'97, building up, they dubted Kane in '97, he was the evil burnt brother of the Undertaker. Kane wanted the Taker dead! Did it happen the next day on Raw? No! It didn't happen until SIX months later on Wrestlemania!
Nowadays, that wouldn't of happened, Brock debut and they instantly try to sell him as this next "Goldberg", they force it down wrestling viewers mouths and they don't like it.
The WWE[F] is at a point right now that can either take them back to the top or they could be the next WCW.

| I think the WWE knows what they are doing, and the angles are getting better slowly. |

| Well for once, I do agree with you a little bit, White Coma. They do need to create some better and more long-term storylines. That would definitely be a lot better.
But I don't think the death of the company is going to come any time soon. It's just a matter of having faith in them. I have faith. |

#15 | | | See, you'd think that Vince, Paul Heyman, Bassett, Keanch, and etc would know what they were doing, but all excluding Vince and Paul don't know jack about wrestling and all came from television writing.
Not any type of wresting backround nothing just comedy style writing.
That is not what the WWF needs, they need writers who have a history of wrestling, who know what needs to be done.
Most if not all of the writers excluding Paul Heyman even realize what lead to WCW downfall.
That is what's hurting them.

| Maybe you're right. But you can't completely take the comedy out of the show. Sometimes it can get tiring seeing so much intensity. That's why comic relief is such a great thing.
Dennis, I'm looking forward mostly to the King of the Ring Championship match. And I'm expecting it to be Brock against RVD or Brock against Jericho.
Other than that, I'm looking forward to the Trish vs. Molly match. |

| Same here! Trish has really come a long way in her carrer and is really impressing me as a wrestler. I think it will end up with Brock vs RVD in the end. I also think Brock will win it. Hey is X-Pac wrestling Booker- T??? |

#19 | | | How much screwball comedy did you see during the "Attitude Era" of the WWF? None! You saw slapschtic from DX, using whippers when Stg. Slaughter was talking or going to WCW and invading a Nitro outside the venue. Or when DX pissed on DOA's bikes.
Nowadays, you have Kurt wearing a wig, wtf is so funny? You have Jericho pissing in Regal's coffee. You have Tommy Dreamer eating hair or Taker spit.
That's comedy for comedies sake. No one likes when something not remotely funny is going on but yet is still forced onto them time after time.

| Or maybe that's just your opinion. I don't like the whole Tommy Dreamer deal with eating gross things. But I do think the Kurt Angle thing is pretty funny. But one thing is always for sure: Comic relief is key.
Dennis, Booker T is not facing X-Pac as far as I know. |
