Yes I think there should, but then a rule for non EU-players, like having a max of 3 or 5 of them in your whole squad and maybe also a limit of the number of foreign EU-players ... would stimulate the growth of the own youth

Perfect example, Brugge: 20 Belgians on 34 squad players and also - 14 of those 20 come from our players we trained and brought up ourselves

play the best player - it's a global game now with football from all parts of the world being shown all over the world. and many countries watch different leagues because they have players playing in that league.

for example nigeria, senegal, almost all of their national teams play abroad, and interest in english, italian, spanish and french football started there, because they wanted to see their own players. The skills develop and the game popularity increases tremendously.

for example south africa, most people would sit and watch a charlton match now because Fish and Bartlett are in the squads, normally they wouldn't, or also a Radebe in Leeds or a Fortune at Utd.

So i don't think a limit should be imposed.

Cool

I'm not too keen on the idea of limiting the amount of foreign players in a football team. If the younger players are good enough they will get played regardless of how many foregin players you have in the squad. Limiting the amount of foregin players might improve them but I don't think it would be worth it.

Over here it would ... the ammount of foreigners are slowing down our youngster to enter the first team ...

I believe FIFA are investigating Wenger and Fergusons tactics of signing Africans and putting them out on loan to Belgian teams for 2 yrs then they are classified as Europeans so they dont need a work permit!
