Wednesday 8th June Group 1
Czech Republic 6-1 Macedonia
Finland 0-4 Holland
Romania 3-0 Armenia
This group will go to either Holland (22 points) or the Czechs (21 points). Romania may still be in with a mathematical shout, but seeing as they've played a game more and can reach a maximum of 25, I think they're out of it.
Group 2
Denmark 3-1 Albania
Greece 0-1 Ukraine
Kazakhstan 0-6 Turkey
Ukraine have all but booked their place in the World Cup next year! They have 23 points and lead 2nd placed Turkey by 7 points. With 3 games left each, all Ukraine have to do is either beat Georgia, Albania or Greece - two of which are home games.
The battle for 2nd place is still very much alive between Turkey (16), Greece (15) and Denmark (12) .. with Denmark having played a game less. Bearing in mind that Turkey have played Kazakhstan (the team everyone will beat) twice, the advantage is with Greece and Denmark.
Group 3
Estonia 0-1 Portugal
Latvia 1-0 Liechtenstein
Luxembourg 0-4 Slovakia
Portugal remain 1st and are 3 points ahead of Slovakia - who are 3 points ahead of Russia, having played a game more.
Group 4
Faroe Islands 0-2 Ireland
As expected, Ireland top the group for now.
Group 5
Belarus 0-0 Scotland
This result leaves both teams with an outside chance of finishing in 2nd. I expect it'll be close in this group, with Italy qualifying in 1st.
Group 7
Spain (and the referee) 1-1 Bosnia
7 minutes of injury-time!? LMFAO! I think there is something dodgy going on here..

Seems like Spain weren't allowed to lose at home to Bosnia.

I hope Serbia win the group.
Group 8
Iceland 4-1 Malta
Iceland are odds-on favourites to take the wooden sppon here!
Rest of the World
Before last night we knew that Germany would be participating in next years World Cup, but that was all .. now we know 5 more! Japan, Iran, South Korea and Saudi Arabia all qualified, despite having one match left to play in their groups. Argentina have also qualified as they beat Brazil 3-1.
