Now it's up to England to breakaway from the penalty syndrome.

If Zidane didn't play his last Football match, for how many matches do you think the FIFA would suspend him?

Here is a quote of what Matterazi is supposed to have said to Zidane last night to make him so mad...

"I Hope Jean suffered"

To put it in context:

Jean Varraud is Zidane's first trainer and Zidane considers him as his second father. Jean Varraud would have been happy with Zinedine Zidane's performance on Tuesday night. Zidane became the latest player in this World Cup to confound the critics, with a subtle performance against Spain, capped by a quality goal at the end to seal France's berth in the quarter-finals. The performance came two days after the death of Varraud, a talent scout for Cannes. In 1987 he spotted Zidane, then 15, playing for a Marseilles club. He telephoned Cannes coach Jean Fernandez and said, "Jean, I've just found you a genius."

What's done is done.

I hope whatever Materazzi said comes and bites him in the ass.

Zidane blames Materazzi insults
Zinedine Zidane's agent says the France captain headbutted Marco Materazzi in Sunday's World Cup final because the Italian made a "very serious" comment.

Zidane appeared to react to something that was said and was dismissed for his violent charge into his opponent. "He told me Materazzi said something very serious to him but he wouldn't tell me what," agent Alain Migliaccio told BBC Five Live Sport.

Sources in France say it is believed Materazzi insulted Zidane's mother.

It's remarkable that it's so rare a defender gets the Best Player Of The Tournament -award. My choice was Fabio Cannavaro. He played fantastic throughout the whole tournament and Zidane only played amazing against Brazil (& Portugal). And after last night ...

Well I think both Zidane and Cannavaro have been both amazing. Cannavaro probably will have shaded but after last night but I do have a great admiration for Zizou and he has been an alltime hero for me but some of his displays were breathtaking. Its just sad that he is in the news for these reasons.
