Like I have already stated, I didnt want to make this into a history thing. Its my view. Oh by the way.. you will actually find I support Man Utd. Fine I will keep my views on England and English players to myself in future. I realise that some of my views may have come across a bit strong. I will try and curb these opinions in future. Fine if I caused offence to anyone, I am sorry. Anyway back to the World Cup.

I believe Sven made a mistake in his striking choices, If Defoe had have been brought to the competition, he would have been a better option than playing Crouch who I feel offers nothing, except if you want to play long ball.

In the beginning I'm always very sceptical about new ideas, so I'd prefer to keep it with penalty shoot-outs. But who knows what will happen in the future. It's not us you have to convince though, go knock on Blatter's door.

Defoe, Bent, Johnson.. all should have gone, along with Rooney and Owen. This could have been a different story had we had better attacking options on the bench. I will never understand Sven's decision to bring 4 strikers including Walcott.
Totally agreed! If Eriksson brought along more strikers, you maybe could have played 4-3-3?! Although I'm not too thrilled about Bent and Defoe either, they're not World class strikers ...

To me Bent is the top English striker in the premiership and he doesnt even get close.. Makes no sense whatsoever. Ok Defoe had a bad season and he gets nowhere close. Gert-Jan, you can hardly call Crouch World Class

I think its the correct decision by Beckham. He hasnt offered anything to the English team in a longgggggggg time. I think give it to John Terry

Well this was the first time that I followed the English team and the World Cup and football all together. What I saw at the world cup he did do something things that I thought was great like getting the goal in but he is still a great football player and he is getting old so I guess that is one reason he hasn't done well. I hope in the future of the world cup he will still play for England and if not then oh well. I will be following him the Spain league maybe he will have some luck there. As for the next captain i do agree with you that John Terry would be a good choice but its up to the coach so we will have to see in the future.

I think he will still play for England, whether he should or not I dont know. I think not. But he doesnt offer much to the team apart from free kicks or set pieces.

Brazil thought they were untouchable and could just cruise through the whole thing. They were brought back to earth.

What about Ronaldo? He literally walked around like it was all going to fast for him (eventho they played bad). I think Brazil just put 'names' in the team and hope the opponend gets scared. They do not play football like they used to do, which is logical as people get older. But that does bring the risk of bad football.
