I think either way, its still cruel for a team to lose on such a method, but what other way is there..!?
This one:
Extra-time has no time limit. Once 5 minutes have gone past the referee orders one player per team to leave the field (the order in which players from each side is to leave is decided before ET starts). After another 5 minutes the referee orders another player from each side off. This way the game will eventually become so stretched that soon a goal will be scored. First team to score, wins. What do you guys think about that!?

I think Argentina would have ripped the Germans apart had they gone about the last 35-40 minutes in a tactically positive way. Spain entertained me more, as did Brazil, and Italy have been just as attractive in my eyes. The Germans are probably the best side left now, because of home advantage and the way they've progressed over the tournament, but I won't be surprised if Italy knock them out. I think that match is 50-50.

Beckham was going over the hill about 4 years ago. Lennon went past 3 players on one of his first runs, something Beckham can't do. We also have Shaun Wright-Phillips on that side, so I think its time one of the younger players had their chance. Terry, Gerrard or Lampard can captain England.
I'd just also like to say that as far as the striker situation for England has been during this WC, Sven has made a mess of it.. 4 stikers taken, 2 were injured before the tournament started, one was overrated and the other hasn't even played in the Premiership!! Defoe, Bent, Johnson.. all should have gone, along with Rooney and Owen. This could have been a different story had we had better attacking options on the bench. I will never understand Sven's decision to bring 4 strikers including Walcott.
