Nothing is decided yet. France still have a hope.

Brazil 2-0 Australia
Brazil may have won again, but they are still far from impressive. If this is the best they have to offer, or can't up their form soon, then I don't see them progressing past the Second Round.

The first-half was pretty average stuff.. with both sides creating few chances. Thankfully this match sprang to life in the second-half, with Adriano put Brazil ahead on 49 minutes when he slotted home after receiving the ball from Roundaldo. Australia responded by creating lots of chances! Tim Cahill had one chance soon after when he broke down the left wing, but Juan recovered in time to make a saving tackle. Then Harry Kewell had what must be the biggest miss of his career.. Dida made a total mess of a ctach, with the ball running right to Kewell's foot, but he could only lift it over the crossbar.. missing an empty net!! Kewell had a few other chances wide later on, but the best Australian chance towards the end came from Bresciano. He sent an overhead kick towards the right side of Dida's goal and a brilliant save was needed to keep Australia from equalising! Mark Viduka had another brilliant chance with 4 minutes remaining, but Dida made himself big, forcing Viduka to send his chip just over.

With the match entering injury-time Australia were dealt a cruel blow. Robinho's shot came straight back off the post and into the path of Fred, who had an empty net to slot the ball into. Such luck for a side that didn't deserve to win by 2 clear goals.. and who were lucky to win at all. Brazil are through to the next round, but they will have to play a lot better if they want to win the World Cup this year.

France 1-1 South Korea
If Brazil were poor, then this was poorer. France again showed just how average they are these days. They may have had a bright opening to the match, with Henry putting them 1-0 and Vieira coming very close to making it 2-0, but their heads dipped very fast. South Korea played their way back into a match for the second time in a week - they are a very fit side. Park's equaliser was well deserved, and it looked like South Korea might be able to find a winner, but they ran out of time!

Zidane Zidane.. may we have seen the last of him ina French shirt!? As he as substituted, he threw down his captains armband and totally ignored the French coach. He looked downheartened and miserable. So much for the French team spirit. They may be playing Togo in the final group match, but the Africans are not to be underestimated, especially against this French side.

Argentina would wipe the floor with Brazil.. and France, for that matter.

So he should have not bothered trying to save the shot which rebounded off the post!?

I really want Australia to qualify. What do you reckon their chances are?
