P.S. - anyone caught referring to Football as 'Soccer' in here shall be ejected from this thread at the 200th floor!! KTHXBYE!

Argentina 6-0 Serbia & Montenegro
S&M were given a huge Footballing lesson today. Argentina were irresistible - easily the best performance of this World Cup so far! Impressive enough to strike fear into any team that could potentially play them.. are you paying attention Portugal and Mexico!?

Goals
6 - Rodriguez: great passing from Argentina, resulting in Saviola setting up Rodriguez for a good finish.

30 - Cambiasso: Alan Hansen sums up this goal very well:

It was a masterclass in quality, balance, passing, control and finishing. If I see a better goal in the World Cup I'm going home. It was 24 passes of total control. They tore them to shreds.

41 - Rodriguez: Saviola never gave up on a long ball from defence, knocked Krstajic (a man much bigger than Saviola) off the ball, and had his shot deflected into the path of Rodriguez, who couldn't miss (even though he very almost did!!).

Just when you thought Argentina might setttle for 3 goals..

78 - Crespo: Brilliant cross from substitute Messi. Crespo couldn't really miss.

83 - Tevez: Fantastic! Tevez beats two S&M defenders all by himself and then curls the ball past Jevric, on his World Cup debut!

87 - Messi: More great movement from Argentina, and a clinical finish from Messi, who also scores on his World Cup debut!

What can I say about S&M.. bye!

They simply couldn't cope with Argentina today. They're out. Even with a mathematical chance ahead of the remaining matches, their GD is now -7 and their negativity will have increased so much more.. S&M's first and last World Cup will be one to forget.

Kezman's red card was undeserved. His tackle was dangerous, but he did get some of the ball. Yellow card only.

Lizzy could organise the one for the Football players, and I'll do one for the female fans!

Perhaps RE5 will feature zombies in a Football stadium!

When the 2-1 goal came, I were thinking "Don't score more now" trough the rest of the match.
