Ecuador 3-0 Costa Rica
This match decided 4 things - Germany and Ecuador qualify for the 2nd round, Poland and Costa Rica are going home.

Ecuador have been the surprise of the tournament so far. 5 goals scored, 0 conceded and 2 impressive performances, this being the best. They will be a danger in the knock-out rounds for sure, so I hope England can avoid them if we get through! The goals came from Tenorio (8), Delgado (54) and Kaviedes (90). I didn't see the match, but I did hear from radio commentary that the goals were good, especailly the last one.

Seeing as they didn't manage to put one in the back of the net, I'd say it's pretty fair.

England 2-0 Trinidad & Tobago
That first-half was pretty poor by Englands standards.. Trinidad and Tobago did themselves proud again. Stern John had the best chance of the half, and luckily we had John Terry on the line to hook the ball clear - I think he deserves some chocolate oranges for that! Crouch had England's best chance of the first-half, but he had more time than he realised. We were wasteful with our chances.

The second-half wasn't much better to begin with and as the game wore on T&T gained more and more in confidence. Glen looked dangerous on the counter attack, but luckily our defenders were a match for him. Eriksson's substitutions proved to be much more effective than against Paraguay - especailly Lennon! (IMO he should start against Sweden) .. he was causing T&T all sorts of problems down the right. It was beginning to look like England could find a breakthrough. Lampard twice went close, but didn't test Hislop too much. Then, up stepped the captain (who, regardless, had a poor match) to deliver a perfect cross for Crouch to head it in! Gerrard rounded off the match with a brilliant strike - I want to see him scoring more like that for England. 2-0, stressful, tense, but England are through. Rooney also managed 35 minutes.

Terry deserves some chocolate oranges, and Lampard needs a kick in the ass.

I hope to see a draw between Sweden and Paraguay tonight, so that T&T can beat Paraguay in their last match while England hold back Sweden!

T&T for the second round!

I've made it through a few levels on the 360 so far. I actually rented it out on PS2 a few months ago and completed more than half the game, but I wanted to get it for the 360 for gamerscore points.

I also bought Need For Speed Most Wanted a few weeks ago, but I haven't got around to playing it yet!

Ecuador's goals were all 3 impressive, just like Equador itself is playing impressive. Carlos Tenorio & Delgado --> both topscorers!

England were very poor again and it's sad to say, but both Germany & Equador have a better team than the UK and so I think England will advance to the 2nd Round, but that's as far as it goes.
