England 2-0 Trinidad & Tobago
That first-half was pretty poor by Englands standards.. Trinidad and Tobago did themselves proud again. Stern John had the best chance of the half, and luckily we had John Terry on the line to hook the ball clear - I think he deserves some chocolate oranges for that!

Crouch had England's best chance of the first-half, but he had more time than he realised. We were wasteful with our chances.
The second-half wasn't much better to begin with and as the game wore on T&T gained more and more in confidence. Glen looked dangerous on the counter attack, but luckily our defenders were a match for him. Eriksson's substitutions proved to be much more effective than against Paraguay - especailly Lennon! (IMO he should start against Sweden) .. he was causing T&T all sorts of problems down the right. It was beginning to look like England could find a breakthrough. Lampard twice went close, but didn't test Hislop too much. Then, up stepped the captain (who, regardless, had a poor match) to deliver a perfect cross for Crouch to head it in!

Gerrard rounded off the match with a brilliant strike - I want to see him scoring more like that for England.

2-0, stressful, tense, but England are through. Rooney also managed 35 minutes.
