I expect Japan, Australia, Togo and Paraguay would too, but all those teams tired in 2PM kick-offs. Even teams during the 5PM kick-offs have been tiring during the second-half. The heat can really take it out of players, no matter what climate they're accustomed to.

I was actually thinking about something similar to that last night!! I'm serious.. I could do a Geographical study about how players from poorer countires with a hotter climate can play skillful Football to a higher level than players from milder and more affluent countries! It links in with Sports Geography.

It does sound interesting! Especially knowing that players aren't allowed to drink water during the game (well only if someone is crying on the ground and the medical team walks in the field with water for the whole team) so that influences the body when it's a hot temperature.

I'm even considering changing my project at University to something like that.. but it would require a fair bit of thought first!

The referee was allowing Spainish and Ukrainian players to have water today - sense at last! I even saw the officials having a drink.
