I couldn't watch it because I had a doctor's appointment, but I'm totally going to trust you Neil and assume I did not miss much!!

Happy France didn't win though, hehe.

In all fairness, I cant blame either the French or the Swiss. They have played each other too often! Should NEVER have been put in the same group and all I want is Switzerland OUT after them taking Irelands place.

That's just bad luck. Holland has been forever in the same group as the Czechs and finally aren't this tournament.

Well I think if you qualify with someone, dont put them in the same group. Swiss Out

My mind kept wandering to other things.. the match was that uninteresting. Henry had another 'typical' French perfomance. He's fantastic in an Arsenal shirt, but lacks something when playing for his country most of the time.

I see what you mean, but there are so many ways in which teams are kept apart anyway.. but it couldn't have hurt to put Switzerland in with Brazil, and Croatia in with France instead.

Carew has the same problem when he plays for Norway.

Brazil 1-0 Croatia
Like England and Holland, Brazil haven't played as well as they can, but they've won their first match 1-0.

We didn't see too many flashes of brilliance from Brazil tonight. Ronaldinho had a great header saved by Pletikosa from about 8 yards out, Ronaldo had one good shot just over, and Kaka had an early shot which flew just over. The best moment came after 44 minutes when Kaka curled a beautiful shot into the top corner from virtually nothing - which shows exactly what Brazil are capable of no matter how well they are playing.

In the second-half Croatia had quite a few good early chances, with Dida needing to be alert to make some vital saves. Croatia will look back and think that they could have got a draw out of this game, but one brilliant moment from Kaka has seperated the two sides tonight.

Advantage Australia and Brazil!
