Yeah, but you'd think with Calgary's wrestling history, they'd make a point to come here more often. Its the starting grounds to many of todays greatest superstars. Even The Rock has a history here, as he once played for the Calgary Stampeders. Yet, the Rock has not been present for even one televised event in Calgary.
And the crowds man, the crowds. I dont think I've ever heard a reaction out of a crowd like when Undertaker made his comment about Calgary being the Championship City of the World. And when Vince opened up Raw in 2001 and said "You're actually proud to say 'I am Canadian'" I've never heard the entire crowd say "Yeah" as simultaneously that you could clearly make out that they were saying "yeah" rather than just cheering. Both times that happened. And we made Hogan stand for 10 minutes (which was actually shortened down to about 2 minutes for television) on SmackDown before he was able to even think about starting to talk.
I mean, Calgary has the best crowds... the only crowd comparable is Chicago, and Wresltemanias.
DAMMIT, I'm going through WWE Live withdrawal here.
And BMB... we're basically in the same boat, man... you may be in a country that never gets WWE... but with the size of Canada, my province alone is about the size of two or three european countries, so its technically the same shit, we just dont have a giant-ass pond separating us from the rest of the WWE.
And then there's Dennis... I dont know how many times that boy has come on here and complained because SmackDown is just 20 minutes away from his house, but when you ask him why he didnt go, it was because he "didnt want to". People take WWE for granted, and it aggrevates me.
Yeah, so thats my two dollars. (Canadian exchange rate
