Congrats John. You are the first person to spot the deliberate mistake.

i pick ENGLAND.
i know we may not be clear favourites but i think we have a good chance.
on our day we can beat anyone (just ask the germans, heehee), and if we can get past the group stage then i don't see why we can't go all the way and win it.
Brazil are not the team they used to be, they barely qualified for the world cup, they had to scrape themselves in. I think the biggest tests will be France and maybe Argenetina, but i don't think Argenetina are as good as a lot of people think, but i may be wrong.

If England win, i will be happy, but surprised, very surprised.

If Becks or Owen gets injured, then I'll be really really surprised if they even get past the group.

Isn't the USA's team pretty good this time around?

Well anyway, I would tend to predict either Brazil or France since they were the two teams from the Championship game in '98.

How is France doing lately? Are they as good as they were when they won the World Cup last time?

Well since their 98 truimph they've gone on to win the European Champs in 2000 and don't appear to be having major problems or small hiccups in their setup, so they may be champs again, but if not champions, then they will certainly be at least in the semi's.

... or thats what I think.

As for the USA, we'll wait to see how Landon Donovan is playing.

France's still one of the best international teams around, they've lost some players from the Championship team from '98 and 2000, who retired, but they've replaced them with young, very talented players ...

And I love to watch France cause normally one of my fav players is on the pitch then, Thierry Henry

My personal faves: Lizarazu, Trezeguet, Henry and Zidane off course.

But the French king has to be Cantona!!!

Hehe oh yeah Cantona was a great player, just too bad he couldn't behave outside the pitch ...
