The Beckham debate will continue even until Brooklyn runs out to play under Roy Keane in 2015.
Beckham has his detractors and admirers, but one thing remains, he has delivered the goods. Not only for Man Utd, but also for England. He has shown that he has excelled in leadership, bringing the best out of team and himself.
That is why he is nominated yet again for another award, this time PFA player of the year.
What is even more admirable is how he has risen to such heights, is how he has picked himself up from the position he was in post-wc98. Even players like Alan Smith have admired the way he has turned his career and handled everything.
So what I am saying is simply, for me, a fan, he doesn't need to go to Italy or Spain to prove himself. what he has achieved for Man Utd and England is remarkable, especially under the immense pressure it is to play for such popular and successful teams.
