Gossip What should Roy Keane get?

Man Utd captain Roy Keane will today face an FA disciplinary hearing over his tackle on Alf-Inge Haaland.
What punishment should he expect?

Roy Keane's autobiography admissions have proved as explosive as his infamous temperament.

He wrote about deliberately setting out to injure Haaland in April 2000, after holding a grudge since a previous incident between them which resulted in injury to Keane.

He has been charged by the FA over his intent to cause injury, and his bid to gain financial reward from his account of it.

Any punishment decided by the panel will be final, as no appeals are allowed for personal hearings.

Does Keane deserve a lengthy ban?

i remember that game and tackle quite clearly and it was very poor of Roy Keane to actually carry out that 'attack', so he'll have to sufffer the consequences.

i would recommend a substantial fine payable to whoever, and a ban, but not a length one (Eg couple of months), more like a couple of games.

but in saying that, i'm sure many players go out to deliberately target certain players and most times they get away with it, its just that Roy Keane kinda kissed and told, so now i hope the panel don't use him to make an example and give him a massive penalty.

Long Live Roy Keane.

Some people have said he could get a six month ban. Remember Paolo Di Canio when he pushed the ref got a 9 match ban..or something like that so it could be bad..
I am 100% behind you Roy! Hope you just get a fine..

Cool

He deserves nothing. If something was to be done about this it should have been done back in 2000.

There is no reason why. This is juts an example of something that has been streched out of proportion.

I don't really know much about that book. Did he write it or did someone else take quotes and write it?

A guy called Eamonn Dunphy wrote the book as told to him by Roy Keane. Eamonn would have put the book in good English writing if you like. He should have left it out, makes no sense to bring it up.

I thought so. He could have easily modified what Keane said to make it sound more controversial.
