I thought Vengeance was pretty good, considering my friends and I kind of sped through it on tape since we couldn't watch it live. I was not at all expecting Batista to be the only member of Evolution to win his match on PPV.
But I was glad to see Edge finally end Orton's title reign. He successfully completed the first part of the puzzle in taking down Evolution.
Does anyone realize that with yet another loss, Kane's PPV record for 2004 is now 0-5? WOW! Talk about dropping the ball.
And finally, the main event plus Eugene. God, Eugene is just flat out a natural. The match was good to begin with. And then when Eugene made his way to the ring and confusion totally set in, I just couldn't keep myself off the edge of my seat. Props to Benoit for yet another successful title defense. Now, I think it's time for someone other than Triple H to face Benoit for the title. It truly is getting old seeing Triple H going for that title every time a PPV comes around.
I really think Summerslam would be great with Benoit vs. Jericho as the RAW main event. There is NOTHING wrong with a face vs. face main event. I don't know why WWE doesn't see that.
Vengeance was good. Not great or anything. But, boy was it good. |
