UEFA Cup 2004-2005 - Eternal Allegiance

Last night, the second legs of the 1st Qualifying Round for the UEFA Cup were played. I can't say they involved many exciting teams, but it's paved the way for the 2nd Qualifying Round Draw later on today.

Also competing for 3 places in the UEFA Cup 1st round, are 12 teams in the Intertoto Cup Semi-Finals. Among these teams are last year's Semi-Finalists - Villarreal. They won their 1st leg against Hamburg 1-0.

Schalke are the first team through to the Intertoto Cup Finals. They completed a 6-1 win over EfB tonight, with a 3-0 win at home. Schalke will face either Liberec or Nantes (Liberec hold a 1-0 lead).

I've heard of 5 of them before tonight, but that's probably because I am quite football obsessed at times.
