Odd grenland had luck on the last round, and now that they face one of the big ones in Netherland.

I dont see Odd grenland having an easy game.
I think they'll loose Big time.

Great results for the English clubs last night! Middlesbrough and Millwall had impressive matches on their first UEFA Cup showing. Hasselbaink and Viduka scored the goals for Middlesbrough in the second-half to give them a big advantage over the Czech Champions. Surely it'll be enough to take them through. Millwall lead against Ferencvaros with a free-kick from Dennis Wise, but one slopy mistake let Ferencvaros back in. I think they still have a good chance in the second leg.

Newcastle won 2-0 over Sahknin, but the tactics from the Israeli side were awful. They recieved a red card and many yellows for cynical tackles that seemed like nothing more than attempts at fouling the Newcastle players. Based on that, I hope they get thrashed in the second leg.

Hearts and Shelbourne had a great night as well! Hearts won the first ever football match to be held at Murrayfield, 3-1 over Braga. The Portugese side may have an away goal, but it'll be a brilliant lead to take over to Portugal in two weeks. Shelbourne had to come from behind to draw 2-2 at home with Lille. They've given themselves a good chance of progressing.

The only disappointment was Rangers 1-0 defeat in Maritimo, but with the 2nd leg at home to come, they can still recover the defecit.

I was so happy when Rangers lost that one. Well done to Shels. they did well and finally started to play in the second half. Though they could have been 6 or 7 behind at half time.

Three nice wins for the Dutch teams, although Feyenoord's match was very poor.

I'm excited to see the next round ... the poule system.

Maccabi Petach-Tikva .v. Heerenveen will now be played as a one off tie next week due to strikes in Israel, which lead to the match being delayed. The match was initially delayed from last week when it clashed with Tel-Aviv's CL match with Bayern Munich.

* Won on away goals rule
** Rangers win 4-2 on penalties

2 of the English teams made it through - Newcastle and Middlesbrough. In the end it was very comfortable for both teams. Millwall weren't quite as fortunate at Ferencvaros. Some incidents made the game memorable for the wrong reasons.. but Ferencvaros were the team that impressed on the pitch. Millwall will now be able to concentrate on the league.

Rangers and Hearts did well for Scotland. Hearts had to fight back from being a goal behind to make sure their aggragate lead stayed safe, while Rangers were the only team in 40 ties that ended up winning in a penalty shoot-out. This'll be a massive boost for both clubs! - especially for Rangers as they're seeded in the top group.

Shelbourne did very well to only lose by two goals on aggragate. Lille are a strong French side and the Irish team can only gain good points from such a nice display over two legs! May they progress well again next season.

All 4 Dutch teams through - most without problems. Feyenoord and Heerenveen thrashed their opponents! Utrecht had a 4-0 lead from the 1st leg and they more than needed it after being beaten 3-0 in Sweden..

Lazio and Parma are the only two teams left that represent Italy, while Spain have 4, Germany 3 and France 3. All teams from Norway and Israel were eliminated.

Is there any way Ferencvaros can be kicked out after their behaviour in the second leg?

The racist abuse chanted was shocking.
