Well any pre season game is pointless for spectators and probably most of the players.

Not all players for some of the lower league clubs, its a chance to play against the top players.

Think of the number of players that get injured in the pre season games, most injuries to footballers happen before the season actually starts.

I find I can watch any Champions League match, some UEFA Cup matches (depends if they're tempting enough

), most Premiership matches (Arsenal .v. Liverpool would put me to sleep!), FA Cup matches, some 1st division matches and any International match that isn't a friendly.

Yes, some of them are indeed, I tend to avoid those ones and just watch the others ones .... the ones that look like they'll provide a good match, but sometimes they let you down.
