UEFA Cup 1/4 Finals Results:

Villareal - Celtic: 2-0 (3-1 aggregate)
Newcastle - PSV: 2-1 (3-2 aggregate)
Inter - Marseille: 0-1 (0-2 aggregrate)

UEFA Cup 1/4 Finals Halftime score:

Valencia - Bordeaux: 0-0 (2-1 aggregate)

Galatasaray, AS Roma and Celtic. Villareal's list of victims is getting pretty damn fantastic!

An uninspired Inter (once again!) is out, Marseille through and it's more than deserved.

Newcastle through, but not by much ...

Valencia bound to advance to the 1/2 finals ... unless a real miracle happens for the French!

It'll take more than a miracle to save Bordeaux now. 2-0 down with hardly any time left.

15 minutes left, 4 goals to be scored ...
Yes, I still pretty much call that a 'miracle'

EDIT: 2-1!!! Seeee

What's going on with Inter?

The victory last night was deserved, but seeing last week's match ... they're through in a lucky way.

Valencia - Newcastle as Final?

Inconsistent, lack of ambition, never the same eleven players in two consecutive matches, important players injured/out of form, ...

Likely, with Valencia winning it.

No Coppa Italia, no Italian champion this season ... I don't understand, why don't they have the ambition to get that UEFA Cup. In 2002, things were pretty the same. Feyenoord winning from Inter and later on taking the Cup.

They belong in the list with biggest teams in Europe, don't they have a good bench with enough quality players?

How are things with Van Der Meyde, still on that bench I guess.

Yes and no ...
They just had some bad luck throughout the season and especially with their defence. Cannavaro, Coco, Adani, Materazzi, Gammara, Cordoba, Helveg, Pasquale. All have been injured up to several months. And mostly all at the same time. And all of them are defenders ... that was Inter's biggest problem: their defence.
It shows in their season statistics, a lot more goals conceded than usual for their average/standard.

He's playing more now than a month ago. He got injured though against Marseille.

Guess they weren't that good as everybody thought they were.
