Well, when both Serena and Venus will be feeling 100% again, we could get some amazing matches again. Although, for now, (indeed John ) the Belgians rule.

Hopefully Henman will start better than last year. Maybe then he can end higher on the ranking. Roddick, Ferrero and what can Agassi still do?

Can some Russian girls defeat the Belgians or Americans once in a while or will it be "the oldies" like Davenport and Capriati.

We're going to get another, exciting tennis season.

Not anymore. The Belgian girls are capable of beating both Serena and Venus. They did last season, although in the end both Serena and Venus didn't complete the whole season.

If the Russian girls were to provide even more competition for the top 4 than they did last season then we could be in for a thrilling year.

Indeed, Henman could and should have a better start this year.

Agassi might fall behind a little this year. I think his best days are just about behind him now, but I can see him winning one or two tournaments this year. I don't think he'll get another Grand Slam though.

Our girls playing well in the WTA tournaments? Definitely NOT

Maybe in a few years, Michaela Krajicek will be able to do something ... we'll see.

Not all the time, I like the Williams sisters as we all know but I know they tend not to complete the whole season.

World No. 15 Jelena Dokic withdrew Friday from next week's Auckland Classic women's tennis tournament in New Zealand citing personal reasons. Tournament director Richard Palmer said Auckland Tennis had been told Dokic, 20, had personal details to sort out and could not come to New Zealand until they were resolved.

"I'm extremely disappointed at this decision especially at such late notice. I sincerely hope Jelena can resolve the issues facing her and concentrate on her tennis," Palmer said without giving the reasons for her withdrawal.

The Auckland Classic is one of the warm-up tournaments ahead of the Australian Open.

Dokic announced in November she would be returning to the Open following two years of self-imposed exile.

Formerly Australia's top player, she left the country following her exit from the 2001 Open when her father accused tournament officials of fixing the draw.

As a 17-year-old then she was heavily influenced by her erratic father Damir, but has since dumped him as coach.

Dokic was seeded No. 2 for New Zealand's premier women's tennis tournament and was ranked as high as world No. 4 in August 2002.

I read that yesterday. This is definitely not a good beginning of the new season, hopefully she'll get back on the court very soon.

I think she needs to go back to focusing on her tennis.
