I didnt realise this:

The win left Federer with a 57-4 record for the season, including 23 match wins in a row.

He also became the first player since Borg in 1979 to win three titles in a row on three different surfaces - grass, clay and hardcourt.

I watched the Women's Final, Davenport - Myskina. Not very exciting, but still impressive to see Davenport play these days.

Davenport is indeed doing very well! Surely she'll be the favourite for the US Open later this month.

Henin has confirmed she will be participating in the Olympics.

In the men's tournaments:

Roger Federer's 23 match winning run was brought to a halt today by Dominik Hrbaty in Cincinnati. Federer raced ahead in the 1st set and took it 6-1, but the 2nd set was much more closely fought, with Hrbaty taking in 9-7 in the tie break. Federer seemed to run out of steam a bit in the 3rd set, losing it 6-4. If Federer had won, he would have been the first player since Sampras in 1999 to win 24 consecutive matches.

Henman started very well in the Cincinnati Masters with a 6-1 6-0 win over El Aynaoui. He will face Arazi in the 2nd round. Rusedski also won in the 1st round. He defeated Enqvist in three sets 3-6 6-3 6-2.

Both Brits have made it past the 2nd round at Cincinnati. Tim Henman defeated Arazi in 3 sets 4-6 6-3 7-5; while Greg Rusedski defeated the French Open Champion Gaston Gaudio, also in 3 sets, 4-6 7-6 6-4. Rusedski will now face Robredo, while Henman takes on Hewitt.

^Indeed it was .. pity he couldn't keep up the winning streak with a 6-7 6-7 defeat against Robredo, although taking both sets to a tie break still kept up a good run of play.
Henman collapsed 1-6 4-6 to Hewitt .. who went on to beat Safin today 6-4 6-4. Hewitt will now face Robredo in the Semi-Finals tommorow. (better results and we could have had a British Semi-Final!)
