I imagine it will be good weather there, there has been great weather over the last two weeks. London is usually warm this time of year.

Courtesy of metoffice.com:

Weather prospects for the first week of the Wimbledon Championships are in the balance Met Office forecasters are warning. Some disruption to the tennis is likely, as rain looks set to keep the ground-staff busy with those covers.

With rain or showers forecast at some time on most days through the course of the first week, forecasters and the All England Club are working even closer together this year to enable Wimbledon staff to reduce the impact of the weather.

Met Office forecasters are on standby to go to the All England Club if requested by tournament officials in the event of unsettled weather. This on-site facility with weather experts at the scene with instant lines of communication, allows for the very best of services to be delivered to tennis officials.

Ewen McCallum, Chief Meteorologist at the Met Office said, "We are delighted to be working closely with the All England Club and are confident we can reduce the impact of the weather with this type of co-operation. I hope the weather is kind and allows for a great fortnight of tennis."

WTA 's Hertogenbosch:

#1 (Petrova) and #2 (Schnyder) seed were out of the tournament pretty quick.
So #3 seed Mary Pierce ended in the Final in which Koukalova was her opponent. This year there were lots of rain delays ... but in the end Pierce won with 7-6 and 6-2.

ATP 's Hertogenbosch:

The men's Final will be between Coria and Llodra.

ATP Nottingham:

Parador Srichaphan won, for the first time in his carreer, a gras tournament. In the Final he defeated Johansson with 1-6, 7-6 and 6-3. Nice win for him.

Let Wimbledon begin!

I hope Coria wins that one.

Ex-Russian president Boris Yeltsin has ordered French Open champion Anastasia Myskina to inspire a Russian title sweep at Wimbledon and he'll be on hand to make sure they do just that.

The former Russian leader, a huge fan of the sport, invited Myskina and compatriot Elena Dementieva, whom she beat in the final at Roland Garros three weeks ago, to lunch at his Moscow dacha and even handed out tips to the two girls.

"He is like a grandfather to us and the lunch was really casual," said the 22-year-old Myskina. "We discussed the matches and he was telling us how to play. He told me to play more shots down the line, improve my serve. He also thinks that Elena and I should play doubles together.

"He will be at Wimbledon for the first week. He said that since he will be here watching, we had better win."

Let's go through the other seeded players, shall we.

Srichaphan (#13) won his first grass tournament last week, now he lost in the first round.

Carlos Moya advances after a five sets match against Patience. That's really his name.

Safin (#19) is out of the tournament.

Hewitt, Grosjean, Ferrero, Henman , Philippoussiss all advance to the second round.

FEMALES!

Serena and Venus are through. Furthermore we have Schnyder, Petrova, Davenport and Myskina in the next round.

Dokic lost her first round match. Sharapova and Hantuchova won their match and advance. Although they could be meeting each other in the third round ... I want both to go through.

So far it's a nice tournament, but too much rain.

what is more frightening is if he DOES win >>>><<<< and ENG win EURO 2004 as well!

anyway - - - this is the first time in around 10 years that i have not seen any matches in the 1st 3 days.
