However, with Llorda playing with the French crowd behind him and nothing to lose, he gave Henman a very good match. Llodra took the first two sets 7-6 (7/2) and 6-4. Then Henman fought back to take the 3rd 6-4 and the 4th 6-3. The 5th set was a classic! Henman took the early break and went 2-0 up, but Llorda fought back to take the next 3 games. Then it went on serve, but Llorda managed to get a match point at 5-4 with an advantage on the Henman sevre. That game lasted for quite a while and Henman came through with the game, in the end. Llodra managed to take the game to 6-5, but couldn't do anything as Henman served to love at 6-6. Llorda then took a 7-6 lead, but Henman came back to win the next three games and take the 5th set 9-7! He finished the match in style too, serving without losing a point in the last game. He'll now play Chela in the Quarter-Finals.

Henman has an easy draw I think. Hope Venus and Serena advance.

She's definitely a beautiful woman. They didn't show anything from the Malisse match last night. Only Coria and Moya.

And we don't get to see more Malisse (and his girlfriend ). In 3 sets, he's defeated by Hewitt.

He indeed has that. And with Wimbledon coming up, he can go higher and higher on the ranking. Maybe you already explained it once, but why don't you like Tim?

Both Venus and Serena will (probably) advance and then play each other in the Semi-Final and the winner against Mauresmo ...

(?)

Or will our girl Sharapova come up with a little surprise?

I dont like Tim mainly for the way the English media treat him, like he is the greatest player ever and he has only ever done well at Wimbledon and the media go on as if he is fantastic. I dont think so.

Yes Gert-Jan, she's a 'looker'
Very good tournament though by Malisse!

Russian teenager Maria Sharapova may have been born in the USSR but she's an all-American girl now planning an all-out assault on the French Open title after reaching the quarter-finals on Sunday.

The blonde teenager swept past Germany's Marlene Weingartner 6-3, 6-1 to make the last eight in only her second Roland Garros appearance and then admitted she has spent so much time in the United States, that she feels like a native.

"I feel a lot safer in America than I would be going back to Russia," said the 17-year-old who left behind her impoverished upbringing in Sochi when she was nine to train at the Bolleteri Academy in Florida.

That is now her home unlike compatriots Elena Dementieva, Anastasia Myskina and Svetlana Kuznetsova who all still live in Russia.

"I was raised in Russia, I feel like I am going back home, I am comfortable there because that is where I was born. But I don't think I would want to live there. Life is just so very different after being in the US for so long.

"I feel like things are more make-believe in the United States and more exaggerated. When I am back in Russia, everything is small, everything's real. It's like going back to reality."

Big Grin

They both out! Serena and Venus are defeated within half an hour of each other. Serena was taken down 3 sets by Capriati. The American won 6-3, 2-6, 6-3. Meanwhile Myskina defeated Venus in 2 sets 6-3, 6-4. I just saw the last few games of the Myskina - Venus match and the Russian girl faced 3 break points at 5-4. She did well to come back and save them all.

That's like saying you don't like someone for something they've never done.. Why would you like Schumacher so much, when the press make him out to be a superman who could never do anything wrong? (when clearly he has done on many occassions)
