Although it remains a suprise ... it isn't that surprising. Understand what I'm saying?

I like the guy, he plays brilliant tennis. But you can't sit back and wait for Roland Garros to begin (and not play some gravel tournaments as a start) and expect to come far in the tournament. Not even when your name is Andre Agassi.

WRONG!

Like John already said, these kind of surprises make sure tennis stays fun to watch.

Sluiter is through to the third round. Alright, Reamon! I believe he'll be facing Moya in the next round.

Verkerk (who doesn't remember him ) will be playing his second round tomorrow afternoon.

Davenport, Mauresmo, Sharapova ( ) and Petrova ( she could be going all the way this Grand Slam ) all advance to the third round.

I think Agassi's time is up now. I feel sad about that.

YES!

All our hope is now placed on the shoulders of Xavier Malisse.

Stricken Spaniard Juan Carlos Ferrero joined fellow defending champion Justine Henin-Hardenne on the French Open scrapheap on Thursday as the second Grand Slam event of the season was hit by another shockwave.

Ferrero, whose participation in the tournament had been in doubt because of wrist and rib injuries, lost his second round match 6-4, 6-2, 6-3 to tournament debutant Igor Andreev of Russia.

Big Grin

Henman is through to the fourth round of the French Open for the first time ever! He defeated Galo Blanco 7-6, 6-1, 6-2 earlier today to secure his place and will now face against Frenchman Michael Llodra. His history against Llodra consists of one match at Wimbledon, in which Tim won sucessfully. With the two big seeds in Henman's side of the draw going out, he has a great chance of reaching the Quarter-Finals.

I heard Henman got through. Not much of a match there.

Has he ever done this well on gravel?

The 17-year old Sharapova is showing once again she's a talent. She defeated the #10 seed Zvonareva and advances to the 4th round.

So do Mauresmo, Davenport and Capriati.

This afternoon: Verkerk - Hewitt

I like her. She's a tennis version of Anna Kournikova.
