Fabrice Santoro defeated Arnaud Clément today. They continued their match of yesterday. Santoro won with 6-4, 6-3, 6-7, 3-6 and 16-14. The match lasted 6 hours and 33 minutes. The last set alone took 2 hours and 12 minutes.
#1 of the World, Justine Henin got eliminated today in the second round of Roland Garros against the Italian #86 of the World, Tathiana Garbin: 7-5 and 6-4.
Henin showed signs of exhaustion. She clearly still lacks condition and endurance after being sidelined for the past 6 weeks due to a viral infection.
She also made way too many unforced errors (30), she only hit 49% of her 1st serve, she commited 10 double faults and only converted 4 of her 18 break point opportunities.
It was a great and surely deserved win for Garbin.
The first shock in the Women's Division is a fact and I don't think this will turn out to be the tournament's only upset ...
