I can't help it, I feel sorry for that girl. Anyways ... hoera for Henin.

Dutchies update:

Van Lottum, Verkerk, Sluiter, Van Scheppingen are all out of the tournament. What an amazing start. Sjeng Schalken, on the contrary, won in 3 sets of Carlsen.

Women:

Clijsters, Hantuchova and new talent Sharapova are all in the second round.

Dominik Hrbaty (who??) now leads the men's race on 70 points. Hewitt is 4th with 35 and Henman is now 11th still on 22.

Henman had no real problems in his first round match. He defeated Lisnard 6-2, 6-4, 6-2. He now faces Stepanek in the second round. Greg Rusedski didn't have such a good time. He was defeated in three sets 6-4, 6-3, 6-4 by Albert Costa.

Already today Agassi is through to the third round. He beat Berdych 6-0, 6-2, 6-4. Kuerten is currently playing Ljubicic in what looks to be a thrilling match! (I've got it up on the live scoreboard at the official site ) Kuerten leads 7-5, 6-7, 6-4, 1-0.

When the Australian Open is finished, the ranking will probably look different.

The fourth set ended in 6-3, a win for Gustavo Kuerten. Srichaphan will be his next opponent, he only had to play 1 set before Goldmard retired.

I'd say this is Agassi's favourite Grand Slam. And people expect a lot.

Sjeng Schalken played a historical match, 'cause he never reached the third round before in Australia. Now he did and the next match looks positive. He will be playing against Melzer, more chances for the Dutchman.

Mauresmo and Henin also advance to the third round. So does Lindsay Davenport, after a very tough second set which she lost.

Mr Hrbaty is already into the third round and will be up against 9th seed Grosjean next. I wonder if he can pull of a shock win.

Henman has just started his second round match against Stepanek. The score is currently at 2-1 to Henman on games .. and it's live on the radio here! I'll be listening all the night. .. Edit, 3-1!

There's a 5 set classic currently in progress on the Vodafone Court between Sargsian and Reid (both unseeded). reid took the first two sets 6-4 and 6-3, but Sargsian fought back to lever the game at 2-2 taking the third 6-4 and the fourth 7-6. The fifth set is currently 4-3 to Reid.

Nope, not one.

Update

1st set: 6-2 Henman
Henman played a good set of tennis. The first three sets went with serve, Henman being the first to serve overall. Then Henman managed to win the first break of the game to take the score to 3-1. Stepanek responded nicely to win a break back himself to take the score to 3-2, but Henman put that little slip up out of his mind to take two more breaks and a love service game for a 1-0 set lead.

Clijsters just wiped the floor with Camerin in the first set 6-0!

Clijsters took the second set 6-0. She looked in danger of losing the last game to make it 5-1, but came back from Adv-40 down several times to take the match without losing a game.

2nd set: 6-4 Stepanek
The first 6 games went on serve. Stepanek had obviously improved his game after lsoing the first set and wasn't in the mood to be broken. Then, in the seventh game of the set Stepanek took advantage of a few loose forehands by Henman to take a break. Stepanek then held his service game to love to lead 5-3, but Henman makes sure Stepanek doesn't break him again. The last game of this set was thrilling. Henman went into a 15-40 lead, but blew all chances and then found himself 'advantage' down. Henman then earned three more chances to break, but blew all of them to loose the second set.

3rd set: 6-3 Henman
Henman took the first three games of this set with ease. He did give away two double-faults in the first service game, but that was all. The next two games then went easily with serve. In the sixth game Henman took Stepanek to deuce, but then just couldn't get the second break. The next two games again went with serve, Henman was playing some very good service tennis at this point. Henman finished off the set 6-3 by holding his serve to 15.

Hewitt is currently 5-1 down in the first set of hi second round match against Kucera. This could be shaping up to be the shock of today.

4th set 6-0 Henman
Henman broke Stepanek in the first game of this set by pulling off a wonderful drop volley shot. Henman then held to love for the 6th time to go 2-0 up. Stepanek started making more mistakes and gave Henman a double break with a double fault. Henman held to love once more and the broke Stepanek for the third time in a row to surely seal the victory. The last game was closer with Henman having to save three break points against him before finally wrapping up the match. 6-2, 4-6, 6-3, 6-0. Next up, Guillermo Canas; who defeated #22 seed Calleri earlier today.

Hewitt lost the first set 6-1, but he's now recovering in the second and is 4-1 up. Maybe we won't be having a shock result afterall.
