Her first single tournament? (cause she already played two single matches in the Fed Cup)

If everything goes as planned, she should participate in the Berlin tournament, which starts on Monday.

Argentina's third seed David Nalbandian was eliminated and former world number one Gustavo Kuerten retired in Friday's action at the 990,000-euro Barcelona ATP tournament.

The 2002 Wimbledon runner-up Nalbandian was sensationally knocked out by Belgian qualifier Kristof Vliegen, world-ranked 136, 7-6 (7/1), 6-4 in the quarter-finals.

No breaks were recorded in the first set as Vliegen won the tiebreak and then Nalbandian failed to claw his way back while serving to save the match at 5-4 in the second set.

Kuerten lost to Argentina's Gaston Gaudio, the 2002 champion, 3-6, 7-6 (7/5), 2-1 retired after the Brazilian threw in the towel for a reason which was not immediately revealed.

Yes, that's what I was wondering. Thanks!

Verkerk reached the Semi-Final in Munchen. His next opponent is the Belgian Rochus.

Bye Bye Rochus. Martin Verkerk defeated him in 2 sets, 7-6 and 6-3.

ATP Munchen Final:

Verkerk - Davidenko

Did you also hear the news of the fire in Italy? Lots of players were staying in a hotel there ( Schalken too ) for the Masters tournament, which starts this Monday, and there was a big fire.

That was a long sentence by the way.
