I think we should make new threads for all football competitions this season, new season, new start (This might also attract new ppl to post in them). I was thinking of maybe a fixtures thread tommorow morning as it seems to be a bit early to be starting threads for the new season.

Why on earth is David Beckham going to Real Madrid?? I can't see him play there ... Luis Figo is still in front of him. But we'll see how things will go in the new season.

That and the fact he is actually a good player which has kinda dissappeared with all the talk of money and haircuts.

Good luck to him I say, it is a new challenge and not many English players go abroad and play for big clubs.

By going to Madrid he will have to raise his game which I can see as only benefiting the England national team, he obvioulsy won't play all the time, none of Madrids stars do as there are only 11 spots, so that rest will mean he is not tired when it comes to internationals.
