More news on Beckham. If Lluis Bassat is elected the new president of Barcelona then he will not besigning Beckham as he ahs stated that the club don't have enough money. At the moment Bassat is the favourite to win the elections. This would leave Real Madrid as the only club with enough funds to sign Beckham, which as we already know is a stupid move for both the player and Madrid.

Also Liverpool move for Fulham star Finnan

I hope that Portsmouth get Holland before Spurs.

I would like to see Holland at Spurs, would be nice to see him playing alongside his Irish colleague Robbie Keane. They would have a good understanding.

I wonder is this bit true..

But Beckham says he has no plans to discuss a move with Laporta - and claims he is being used as a "political pawn" in Barca's presidential elections.

A spokesman for SFX, Beckham's management company, said: "David is very disappointed and surprised to learn of this statement and has no plans to meet Mr Laporta or his representatives."

Newcastle are also in the running to sign Ronaldinho from PSG. They have made an offer plus Laurent Robert in exchange.

Arsenal are believed to be moving in on signing William Gallas form Chelsea

Blackburn are posed to sign keeper David Yelldell from Stuttgart Kickers.

Portsmouth hope to complete the free transfer of Boris Zivkovic for Bayer Leverkusen.

Then there is all the David Beckham stuff which I can't be bother to type on here.

Cool

It's true that Man. United have accepted the bid from Barcelona, but that's all meaningless if the right man doesn't get elected as club president of Barcelona. Basically one candidate wants his a lot and the other couldn't care less. I've also read several times that Beckham really has no wish to move, so if he doesn't he won't go.

More speculation is that Real Madrid are prepared to swoop in and sign both Beckham and Ronaldinho ...... surely they're not that stupid.

I heard this one on the news last night. Apparently he's the Croatian captain, so he should be a good addition.

LOL, saw this on sky news...

David Beckham has been put up for sale for £10m - but Sir Alex Ferguson will not be losing any sleep over the news.

The England captain and Manchester United star is being advertised on the auction website eBay - but it is clearly a spoof.

The following is part of the description of the goods for sale.

"Late 20s, varied hairdoes, good physique, well oiled machine. England Captain. Drinks Pepsi only. Immaculate condition. Part-ex possibility for Saviola or Ronaldhino."

The information says that the first bid was £9,999,999.99 and the current bid is a penny more - at £10m.

It also says the reserve has been met.

If by some bizarre chance the auction was real, then the highest bidder illain21 will be having an interesting chat with their bank manager.

Unless they belong to Real Madrid or Barcelona, that is.

And bids do not close until June 15.
