Middlesbrough are close to completing a deal to sign Mendieta on a year's loan from Lazio, the deal could be finalised before the end of the day.

Nottingham Forest are going to sign David Tarka from Australian side Perth Glory.

Does anyone know anything about him? I have read he is one of Australia's best young players and he plays in defence but that is it.

Yep, a very good deal for Boro. He's got a one year loan at the club, with a possible four year move afterwards.


Leeds have accepted two loan bids from other Premiership clubs, Middlesbrough and Birmingham. It's thought that Boro are the favourites right now.

Ajax is talking with Chelsea and Lyon about a possible transfer of Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The current bids thusfar have been rejected by Ajax as 'too low'.
