Viduka is now the latest to be linked with Chelsea. Vidukas agent says they are in talks about a move.

Sir Alex Ferguson admitted that another two players will come in before the end of the season.

With Kleberson's work permit hearing set for Monday 11 August, the Brazilian would be United's fourth signing of the summer.

But with Gary Neville likely to miss the start of the season with a slight hamstring tear and Wes Brown facing a lengthy sideline spell with knee ligament damage, Ferguson wants to make it six signings for the summer.

"We do need two players, possibly up front, but we do need a defender," said Ferguson. "That's something we are looking at."

I'm never a big fan of transfers during the season ... for obvious reasons of fitting in ...

I agree, I prefer either end of season or pre season myself.

Missing the pre season and season preparation with your new team is always bad. It also causes the period of adjustment to just get longer and longer. In most cases the new player only makes an impact during the next season.

And why would they ... Christian Vieri is in my eyes on of the best Italian strikers.

Van Der Vaart isn't going anywhere ... Trabelsi is still not sure. We'll wait and see.

.... and here comes another signing for Chelsea: Romanian striker Adrian Mutu. Parma have accepted a £15.8 million bid from Chelsea for Mutu and he will fly into London next week to discuss a five year contract at The Bridge.

This would take Chelsea's summer spending to a total of: £75 million!
