Tim Howard has joined Man Utd. Veron set for showdown talks with Fergie, he wants one more year to prove himself at Man Utd.

Chelsea are waiting to hold transfer talks with Blackburn's Damien Duff after tabling a new £17m bid for the Republic of Ireland winger.

The Stamford Bridge club have increased their offer for a third time after offers of £13m and £15m were rejected by Blackburn.

Duffs bid by Chelsea has been turned down..

Manchester United are believed to be ready to hijack the signing of Brazilian international Kleberson by Leeds.

Reports claim the Old Trafford club have made an offer of between £5m and £7m for the Atletico Paranaense midfielder.

Leeds United had thought they were on the verge of signing the 24-year-old World Cup winner.

Manager Peter Reid said: "I have been an admirer of his for a long time - it will be terrific if we can find a way to bring him to Leeds."

But Man Utd boss Sir Alex Ferguson is said to see Kleberson as an ideal addition to his midfield following David Beckham's move to Real Madrid.

Damien Duff will not rush into a move to Chelsea - even if they agree a £17m deal with Blackburn Rovers.

BBC Sport understands Duff would need major persuasion to leave the north and move to Stamford Bridge, with Manchester United still interested.

And he could even put off a move to Chelsea, with Sir Alex Ferguson remaining a long-term admirer of the Republic of Ireland winger and waiting in the wings.

It raises the prospect of Duff staying at Blackburn despite Chelsea's interest - although new owner Roman Abramovich will make him a massive financial offer.

Chelsea have agreed a fee with Blackburn for Republic of Ireland winger Damien Duff.

Blackburn had turned down three previous bids from the Stamford Bridge club.

But the latest offer - in the region of £17m - has triggered a clause in the player's contract which allows him to talk to another club.

Kleberson could be set to join Man. United today for a fee of around about £7 million. He's has flown into England today to agree personal terms and complete a medical.

The Ronaldinho saga is still going though. Barcelona are reported to have made the highest bid at the moment and so are slight favourites over Man. United currently.

If both were to sign for United then it's possible that Veron will be on his way out in a possible move to Chelsea. I'd prefer it if Veron stayed on at the moment as he can be a very effective player in the CL, even though he has off days in the Premiership.

Jody Morris is to join Leeds Utd.

Barcelona look to be the favourites to sign Ronaldinho.

Ronaldinho moves from PSG to Barcelona. The Spanish team pays 30 million euro for the Brazilian.

Oh well, I guess the lure of Champions League football wasn't enough for Ronaldinho in the end.

Now maybe Ferguson can turn his attention in trying to sign Duff before Chelsea sign him.

I am glad we didnt sign Ronaldinho in the end, not our typical player. We hopefully will sign someone else of better quality.
