Default Summer transfers ...

The current football season is marching towards it's end and that means a very exciting period is coming up again ... summer transfer ... players whose contract end ...

One transfer already seems to be comfirmed ... well at least if you'd buy what a few tabloids said. Those 'newspapers' (not really worth the name) never give up ... if you bought every piece of shit they wrote, Beckham would be playing for Inter next season, no doubt about that ...

The reason why a few Italian and English (of course, here they are again) was that Victoria went to Milan last week cause she wanted to shop. Of course those newspapers turned that story into this: 'Victoria was indeed shopping, shopping for a new house'. To make things even more crazy Victoria was supposed to have met with Moratti as well.

The next day, when Inter's president Moratti was asked about the story, he replied with this:

"People have been suggesting I met the player's wife during her recent stay in Milan, but it's not true. I heard that Beckham's wife was in Milan and that I had apparently seen her. It's not true. All I can say is that he's a great player - not just because he's English and I like English players, but because he's very skillful and often decisive for his club."

To be continued I guess ... Something which isn't a secret is that Moratti has shown interest for both Becks and Giggs for quite some time now and Cúper seems interested as well in their services ... but then again, which manager wouldn't?

A few players are rumored heavily to be transfered this summer. There are a few big names, whose contract end this summer ... it's only guessing so far what they will do.

For example: Chivu, Ronaldinho, Frank De Boer, Mido, Ilie, Boksic, Sukur, ...

And then of course, as every year, there are the normal transfers of players who still have a long term contract. But that doesn't stop clubs to negociate ...

Cool

You know, I've heard rumours that there could be quite a few players going in and out of Manchester United this summer cause some of them have not been performing as well as we know they can this season. It could be partly true seeing as a few players are getting on and the team generally doesn't seem to be performing as well as we did three or four years ago. I wouldn't be surprised if a few left. Maybe Beckham, possibly Giggs ...... Veron, he might not be at the club for much longer. Keane could also be on his way as he isn't the player he once was and a few other players might not feel safe. I think we can safely say that players like O'Shea and Van Nistelrooy will be there next season. Whoever comes to the club we'll have to wait and see.

Well the Uefa is trying to get the new transfer/contract policy ready as soon as they can. This would mean when a player signed a multi-year contract, he would be obligated to stay with his club for several years, eliminating any chance on a transfer to another club within the first 2/3 of his newly signed contract ... I'm damn sure, clubs fear this and will go at it again this summer ...

I think so. I think that the whole contract system will change and players will stay with a club for a short period of time in the future. maybe losing the loyalty.

It does sound a little bit bleak, but we should be able to bring in plenty of players to replace them with the money our players will sell for. As long as we don't buy too many players that are overpriced like Ferdinand then we'll be alright for next season.

In Man U's position, Beckham and Giggs aren't players to sell, unless they're unhappy and really want to leave ... which isn't the case.
