 SportsCenter Bias | |
This'll only make sense to those of you who are in the United States and are regular ESPN SportsCenter viewers.
Have you ever noticed that SportsCenter seems to be horridly biased to the East Coast teams? I have always harbored this misgiving, but I just now saw a blatant display of it...
This past week my San Diego Chargers, 7 point underdogs to the Raiders, northern rivals, won by 6 in overtime, settling for the moment who the best in the west was and the best in the AFC at 6-1. Big deal, right? Show down for first place, and the wimpy underdogs win.
The following SportsCenter didn't run the highlights until THIRTY MINUTES into the show. This was by far the game with the most implications this past week, but noooooooo, the east coasters hardly pay attention to it. Had it been like this with a couple of east siders, different story.
