Default Sports thought of the day.....

Note: I never thought of this until yesterday.

Football, basketball, and hockey teams use the same term "Field Goals." There may be a different meaning to the term for each sport but I thought it was kind of interesting to know, because usually we don't pay attention to that kind of stuff.

Yeah they do. I was watching highlights on the NHL playoffs and they said something about "Field Goal Percentage."

you might be thinking of "save percentage" or "goals against average" but i promise you there's no field goals, and there's defintely no field goal percentage.
