Embarassment A sport for Suzy

Hey guys,

For some time now I've been trying to find a sport that I can understand and support.

I don't understand football or rugby very well, I find golf pretty boring and formula one gets on my nerves. I was gonna try American Football but they don't show much on british tv so I'm a bit bummed about that.

Can someone make a suggestion of what I might like? Or say something that makes any of those mentioned above more interesting.

edit: I think I might try get to understand rugby because my friend Dave likes it and I'd like to have a conversation or something about it, or at least show interest. He likes golf too though. Oh... the decisions.

Feedback would be appreciated!

I could say a helluva lot about Football, but I don't know if it would make you more interested or not. I have a passion for it that runs deep .. probably deeper than most people and I have a hard time understanding it myself! All I know is - I really love Football! Maybe next weekend I can explain it to you more/help you to become more interested.

About F1.. is it just that type of Sport in general that gets on your nerves? or is it just F1? There are more exciting types of Motor Racing, like Touring Cars and Superbikes. They tend to be a lot more exciting than F1 over a single race, but yet I watch more F1. Odd how that works!

I can't imagine you'd find Cricket interesting.. maybe Tennis. Athletics is varied and can be quite interesting.

You'd be better off trying to understand Rugby anyway, honey.

Nah - I'm not loving the football in particular. I do think rugby is quite interesting cos all the men grab each other lol.

I used to really like F1 but now I find any sport that involves just going round a track boring - including horseracing because all that happens is they go whooosh round a track and well yeah.

Nah Cricket is boring - I used to be in the girls Cricket team at school. Tennis isn't on all the time though. I'm kinda swaying towards rugby cos I like the tops they wear. Is that a reason??

Lol - I suppose that's a fair enough reason for a girl to watch Rugby!

Touring Cars involves a lot more smashing, bashing and incidents; along with going whoosh around the track .. but then I guess that's more of a guy thing.

Wimbledon is on soon enough, so take a look and see if it really interests you.

I guess that's a reason for following Rugby! I expect you'd find more reasons once you start following it as well.

Tennis is good but it can be similar to the likes of F1. Just hitting the ball up and down on the court
