I watched Smackdown! with a couple friends on Friday. This was my immediate response the moment his attack on Batista ended.

Me: What the hell? Well, there's Batista's opponent for the Royal Rumble. He'll lose that match and then he'll never make it above mid card status again.

My friend Mitchell: Don't forget, he'll probably be injured again by the time WrestleMania gets here.

Me: Look at him. Do you think anyone takes him seriously?

Mitchell: I don't. He's Sexual Chocolate and that's all there is to it.

******************

I know it's not fair. But yeah, this is...I don't know...his fourth comeback or something in the last four years. I've lost count. I just can't take him seriously. He'll always be the guy who banged Mae Young and planted a seed that produced a full size human hand...and nothing else.

If he doesn't face Batista at the Royal Rumble, he'll be in the Rumble match. He'll toss a couple cruiserweights like Paul London and Brian Kendrick into the third row and then as he yells at them to understand who's boss, Matt Hardy will dropkick him over the top rope and he'll be set up for another mediocre World's Strongest Feud.

I like to look on the bright side of things. But Mizark's track record isn't all that bright.

A Shocking Return Leads To New Champs
December 30th, 2005

Videos From The Show: http://www.wwe.com/shows/smackdown/videos/

Batista & Rey Mysterio already had a lot on their plates as they had to face MNM in a rematch for the WWE Tag Team Championship, but The Animal also had to deal with some issues that go beyond the ring. Before the WWE Tag Team Championship Match, Melina came to the ring, accompanied by her lawyer, and held a press conference. She claimed that two weeks ago, prior to MNM’s title defense against Batista & Mysterio, Batista sexually harassed her. She accused the World Heavyweight Champion of being a sexual predator and using his power and influence as Champion to get whatever he wants. She claimed that he forced her to have sexual relations, and now she is suing him for sexual harassment – and all of this came out prior to Batista’s WWE Tag Team Champioship defense.

But to his credit, when talking to Josh Mathews before his match, Batista seemed unphased by the accusations. His carefree attitude appeared to follow him inside the squared circle as well. Mysterio and Batista got off to a quick start utilizing their unique combination of speed and power to overwhelm MNM. But a miscue by Mysterio led to him injuring his right knee. Nitro and Mercury were like sharks smelling blood and pounced on Mysterio’s knee. They relentlessly attacked his injury to the point where Mysterio could hardly stand. But Mysterio refused to give up, and his quickness overcame the injury, allowing him to make the tag to Batista.

Batista started cleaning house and had Mercury up for the Batista Bomb. Nitro broke up the attempt, but Mysterio came back and took Nitro to the outside with a hurricanrana. Batista hoisted Mercury up for a powerslam, but Mercury’s legs took down the ref. With the referee down, it was revealed that Melina had a secret ally. The World’s Strongest Man, Mark Henry, made his WWE return, and he made it in a big way. With Batista’s back turned, Hendy leveled the Animal with a thunderous clothesline. He then hoisted the World Heavyweight Champion over his head and brought him down with a monstrous powerslam – the World’s Strongest Slam. The ref began to come to, unaware of what had transpired, and Batista was ripe for the pickings. The 1-2-3 was academic, and MNM became WWE Tag Team Champions for the third time in less than a year.

While new WWE Tag Team Champions were crowned, there was also a chance that a new United States Champion could be crowned as well. Booker T was ahead of Chris Benoit 3-1 in their Best of Seven Series. Booker T had taken an early 3-0 lead, but Benoit kept his hopes alive with a huge win at Armageddon. Booker T still had the huge advantage, but he suffered an injured groin at a live event Monday night in White Plains, NY. Due to doctor’s orders, Booker T was unable to compete. General Manager Theodore Long said that due to the circumstances, Booker T would have to forfeit the fifth match in the series. Booker T was irate at this decision, but so was Benoit. Benoit wanted to win the United States Championship, but he didn’t want to take the easy way out. They all agreed that Booker T could pick anyone on the roster to take his place in the match. If the replacement won, then Booker T would be the new Untied States Champion. If the replacement lost, then Benoit would be right back in the hunt, narrowing the gap to 3-2.

After dismissing Orlando Jordan’s request to be the replacement, Booker T found a dejected Randy Orton by himself in the locker room. Booker motivated Orton to prove to the world that despite losing to Undertaker in Hell in a Cell he’s still the Legend Killer. Orton took Booker T’s words to heart and was confident he could take down the Rabid Wolverine.

Booker T and Sharmell joined Michael Cole and Tazz for commentary. After some back and forth action, Benoit was able to lock in the Crossface. Orton was able to get to the ropes and escaped to the outside for a breather. Benoit wouldn’t allow it, though, and soared through the air with a suicide plancha. Back inside, Benoit went for the rolling Germans, but Orton blocked it. Benoit came back with an ode to Eddie Guerrero and connected with the Three Amigos. He went up top, but Orton telegraphed the diving headbutt. Benoit recovered and went for the Sharpshooter, but Orton was able to roll through it. The Legend Killer went the RKO, but Benoit was able to reverse it into another Crossface. With Orton in trouble, Sharmell jumped into the ring and hit Benoit with one of Booker T’s crutches, causing a disqualification. Not realizing what she had done, Benoit was now one step closer to becoming United States Champion. Booker T still leads the series, though, 3-2. Benoit’s celebration was very short-lived, as Orton laid out the Rabid Wolverine with an RKO.

Earlier in the evening, JBL came to the ring and said that he no longer has matches – he just sends messages. He said that he would send a message regardless of who the opponent was. Matt Hardy answered the challenge, hungry for revenge from Armageddon. Hardy was able to connect with a top rope leg drop, but had a twist of Fate blocked. JBL looked primed for a comeback but was distracted when The Boogeyman made a surprise appearance. JBL and Jillian cowered from the bizarre newcomer, as he chomped on a fresh batch of worms. The self-proclaimed Wrestling God and his image consultant retreated through the crowd, giving Matt Hardy a win via disqualification.

Lashley continued his path of destruction on SmackDown as well. Lashley squared off against Sylvan, and after an offensive flurry, Sylvan retreated in fear that he would be hit in his beautiful face again causing him to lose via countout.

Plus, Psicosis & Super Crazy of The Mexicools picked up huge win over The Dicks. SmackDown’s No. 1 announcer Funaki also interviewed Cruiserweight Champion Kid Kash. Kash said that he was the greatest Cruiserweight Champion of all time and left Funaki laying on the stage after the Dead Level.

MNM def. Batista & Rey Mysterio to become new WWE Tag Team Champions
Chris Benoit def. Randy Orton via DQ (Benoit trails Best of Seven Series 3-2)

Default How To Make Henry / Batista more fun

Ok People. Time to face facts. I know I've said it about other wastes of oxygen like Masters and HEI-DEN-REICH. But Mark Henry is where we need to draw the line.

WE DO NOT WANT MARK HENRY IN THE MAIN EVENT. WE DO NOT WANT MARK HENRY FIGHTING BATISTA. AND WE SURE THE FUCKING HELL DO NOT WANT MARK HENRY AS OUR WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION.

But one way or another WWE will shove a Batista/Henry match down our throats. Regardless of who's going to win, that match will absolutley suck and will be a sure fire contender for worst match of 2006, unless Masters, Flair and Hogan continue to go over decent talent.

I've calculated the ability of both Batista and Henry, plus their Win Loss Records and the overall popularity of each character with regards to crowd reaction and what they have to offer the crowd. Having punched all this into my calculator and looked at all the possible scenarios of matches, the final result came out as this: Batista Defeats Mark Henry in 10 seconds

Right. But of course WWE are always going to find ways of prolonging the torture of watching this awful matchup. So I Duffyboy have come up with a few things that WWE could try in order to make this match more entertaining.

Scenario 1

Dave Davidson "Batista" VS Mark Henry (Batista Must have one arm tied behind his back)

Should be a doozy right? Batista can't use the powerbomb now so how can he defeat the "World's Toughest Man"?

Result: Batista scratches his ass for a second, then blasts Henry with a clothesline. Batista wins after 11 seconds

Scenario 2

Dave Davidson "Batista" VS Mark Henry (Street Fighter Cheat Code Match)

Mark Henry whips out a Super Nintendo controller and presses UP, LEFT, DOWN, RIGHT, START, B, SELECT, A. Now Mark Henry has 30 extra lives! Surely now the match is a formality.

Result: Batista defeats Mark Henry after 15 pinfalls, 10 submissions, 4 DQ's and 1 Countout after 2 minutes

Scenario 3

Dave Davidson "Batista" VS Mark Henry (Super Mario Invincible Star Match)

Mark Henry punches a square block to reveal an Invincible star. This gives him 30 seconds of invincibility. Now surely nothing can stop him?!

Despite being invincible for 30 seconds, Mark Henry only knows one pathetic fucking move, "THE WORLD'S STRONGEST POWERSLAM". After the invincibility wears off, Batista wins after 33 seconds.

Scenario 4

Dave Davidson "Batista" VS Mark Henry (Zelda Master Sword Match)

Mark Henry reaches into the stone in the temple of time and pulls out the master sword. This sword gives the chosen one the ability to travel through time and ultimatley change their destiny!

Despite Mark Henry now having the power to travel through and alter the course of time, nothing is still able to change the fact that

MARK HENRY ABSOLUTLEY & COMPLETELY FUCKING SUCKS AND SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED ANYWHERE NEAR THE SAME FUCKING ZIP CODE, LET ALONE SAME RING AS DAVE BATISTA

After the match Ganondorf escapes the Chamber of Sages, grabs hold of the master sword and stabs Mark Henry in the throat with it.

I think were done with this one. Mark Henry vs Batista will be what is known in Televised Wrestling elementary school as a piss-break.

FUCK YOU MARK HENRY

Wow.

Damn, I don't like Mark Henry either. But I can tell you dislike him the most. Basically, yes, this is the second coming of Brock Lesnar vs. Hardcore Holly from Royal Rumble 2004. But hey, I like watching Mark Henry lose. So I'll watch happily as Batista kicks out of the World's Fattest Slam and maybe a couple weapon shots, then win with one Batista Bomb.

Well...Henry is pretty fat. Over 400 pounds of fatness. Maybe Batista will finish him with the spinebuster.

Hey guys! Here are tonight's Friday Night SmackDown! results -

Making Statements
January 6th, 2006

Photos From The Show: http://www.wwe.com/shows/smackdown/photos/
Videos From The Show: http://www.wwe.com/shows/smackdown/videos/

On the final Friday Night SmackDown of 2005, Mark Henry made his shocking return to cost Batista & Rey Mysterio the WWE Tag Team Championship; on the first episode of 2006, Henry once again made a statement, this time helping MNM retain the gold.

Earlier in the night, after Henry destroyed three men, Melina announced that he was there for her protection, and nothing else. As Batista later addressed the media to claim innocence regarding about Melina’s allegations of sexual harassment, Henry interrupted his press conference. Henry told the Animal that he was a sick man to be taking advantage of a helpless woman, and asked how he would feel if he was the victim. Batista told Henry that it was not the time or place for them to discuss it, but Henry would later make it his place to get face to face with the World Heavyweight Champion.

In the main event, Batista and Rey Mysterio met MNM inside a Steel Cage with the WWE Tag Team Championship on the line. Early in the match, the challengers dominated, but the sneaky champions managed to take advantage of the smaller Mysterio. The Animal made a comeback, and it seemed as if the challengers were poised to regain the gold…until The World’s Strongest Man made his appearance.

After searching for a way into the cage, Henry proceeded to show his strength, breaking the chain that padlocked the cage door shut. He then ripped the door off of its hinges, and entered the ring to square off with the Animal. After subduing Batista while the Animal attempted to give Mercury a spinebuster, Henry used the cage door as a weapon. Batista ended up sandwiched between the cage door and the cage wall, and after nailing Rey with the door as well, Henry rolled Nitro on top of Rey for the pinfall, handing MNM the victory.

Orlando Jordan and Chris Benoit also made statements on Friday Night SmackDown, both at the expense of Booker T. Booker fired up Orton for Match No. 6 of the Best-of-7 Series, and Orton promised Booker that he would hand him the United States Championship on a silver platter. When later discussing this backstage with Kristal, Orlando Jordan approached Booker, making fun of Orton for losing last week. When Booker refused Jordan’s offer to be his substitute, Orlando told Booker he must respect him because he was United States Champion longer than Booker. Booker told Orlando that he had to earn respect, and Jordan told him to remember that saying.

Early in the match, Sharmell once again tried to interfere with Booker’s crutch, leading to Orton having her removed from ringside. The Legend Killer then took the advantage, but the Rabid Wolverine came back with his signature rolling suplexes and flying headbutt. Orton was able to escape both the Sharpshooter and Crippler Crossface, and took control once again. At this point, Orlando Jordan jumped out of the crowd, knocking down Booker and stealing his other crutch. He then entered the ring and nailed Benoit with it, drawing a disqualification on Orton. As Booker and Orton looked on horrified, a satisfied Jordan smirked as Benoit was announced the winner to tie the series at 3 matches apiece.

On a night of statements, perhaps the most bizarre was made by the Boogeyman. As JBL met Matt Hardy in a Falls Count Anywhere Match, the thought of another appearance by the Boogeyman loomed. Hardy and JBL brawled throughout the crowd and into the ring, and ended up in the entrance aisle near JBL’s limo. After assaulting him with a ladder, Hardy laid JBL on the hood of his limo and proceeded to set up the ladder. Before he could jump onto JBL, Jillian interfered and held Hardy’s leg. This allowed JBL to recover, and after grabbing a trash can, JBL nailed Hardy with the weapon and dropped him back first onto the limo. JBL was able to get the easy pinfall, but his horror was just beginning.

As JBL and Jillian celebrated, smoke poured from JBL’s limo and the Boogeyman appeared through the moon roof. He chased a horrified JBL & Jillian around the ring, but this time they weren’t able to escape. As Jillian tried to climb over the security barrier, the Boogeyman caught her by the leg. He then produced a handful of worms and stuffed them down Jillian’s skirt as a horrified JBL looked on. JBL & Jillian were then able to run away, but the bizarre Boogeyman laughed as they did so.

Never one to stay quiet, Mr. Kennedy made his first appearance since his injury, joining Michael Cole and Tazz on commentary for the Cruiserweight Championship Match between Kid Kash and Juventud. As Kennedy crowed about being the reason for the network’s ratings increase, Kash and Juventud battled fiercely for the gold. In the end, Kash was able to exploit an injury to help him to victory. Earlier in the match, Juventud hit a somersault hilo onto Kash as he stood on the floor, but the former champion injured his knee on the way down. As the match drew to a conclusion, Juventud’s leg buckled as he tried a Juvy Driver. Forced to find a new method to victory, Juventud attempted a 450 Splash, but Kash rolled out of the way. The champion then nailed the challenger with the Dead Level to pick up the victory and retain the gold.

Friday Night SmackDown also saw the debut of a new tag team, the Gymini. Simon Dean came to the ring, asking any two men in the back to come out for some competition. When Paul London and Brian Kendrick answered his call, Simon said the competition wouldn’t come from him, but from the new tag team he’s sponsoring. He then produced the Gymini, and the muscular twins proceeded to destroy London & Kendrick as Simon looked on with glee.

Plus, Bobby Lashley announced that he was the first man entered into the 2006 Royal Rumble, saying he intended to win the match and go on to face Batista for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 22.

Matches

WWE Tag Team Champions MNM def. World Heavyweight Champion Batista & Rey Mysterio (Steel Cage Match)
Chris Benoit def. Randy Orton (Match No. 6 of a Best-of-7 Series)
JBL vs. Matt Hardy (Falls Count Anywhere Match)
Cruiserweight Champion Kid Kash def. Juventud
Mark Henry def. Rob Eckos, John Troske and Gus Harlacher (defeated all 3 men consecutively)

Hey guys! Here's a preview of this Friday's show LIVE from Philidelphia, Pennsylvania -

The Final Battle
January 13th, 2006

Last Sunday night at a SmackDown live event, Mark Henry did exactly what he set out to do - he took Batista out of the picture when he injured him so badly that The Animal must now surrender his World Heavyweight Championship. Don't miss SmackDown this Friday night when an injured Batista hands over his title to General Manager Theodore Long.

With Batista no longer the World Heavyweight Champion, Theodore Long will call for a Battle Royal this Friday night to crown a champ.

Also, after nearly two months of vacancy, there will be a new United States Champion crowned when Friday Night SmackDown rolls into Philadelphia this week.

Over the last two weeks, Randy Orton has filled in for Booker T in the Best-of-Seven Series. In that span, Orton has been disqualified twice, and Booker has seen his 3-0 lead evaporate since Armageddon. With the series now tied at 3, Orton will take on Benoit next week in the seventh and deciding match.

Two weeks ago, Sharmell hit Benoit with Booker T’s crutch to get Orton disqualified. Last week, it was an irate Orlando Jordan that did the same thing, making the series a tie. Will the third time be the charm for the Legend Killer, or will the Wolverine finish his comeback from down 3-0 to win the series and the championship? And will Booker T be able to keep Sharmell, Jordan, or anyone else from indirectly costing him the gold?

Plus, Piper's Pit will return to SmackDown this week, and "Rowdy" Roddy Piper's guest will be none other than the bizarre Boogeyman! In recent weeks, the Boogeyman has been seemingly stalking JBL & Jillian Hall. Last week, the Boogeyman caught Jillian, stuffing a handful of worms down her skirt. Will the bizarre newcomer have an explanation for his fascination with JBL & Jillian when he makes his appearance on Piper's Pit?

Be sure to tune in this Friday night at 8/7 CT on UPN to see what happens, and also don't miss Mr. Kennedy live in the studio this Wednesday night on Byte This!
