Smackdown Results August 14th:
Vince McMahon's music hits as he arrogantly makes his way to the ring. He says that tonight he'll introduce someone that the audience is unfamiliar with. Someone they thought they knew but never really did, The Real Brock Lesnar! He says there's another side of Lesnar that he knows, Brock Lesnar is an animal, and he was unleashed last week on Smackdown! He then shows the footage from last week, (gloating throughout the broadcast.) He said that Kurt Never saw it coming, and neither did the audience. Vince says that Kurt Angle is recooperating at home, and he'll be back next week to face the music, like it or not! But he now introduces the real Lesnar. Lesnar's music hits, as he makes his way down the aisle with a smile on his face, he's greeted with countless boos. Brock's in the ring, he grabs the mic.
He says that friendship has nothing to do with his actions last week, he says that his definition of friendship is by using someone to your advantage to help you succeed in life, after that they are no longer your friend. He said that Kurt was once his friend, but that was stopped when he last the title at the last PPV. He says that the audience has something in common with Kurt Angle (for judging Lesnar,) and that's that they suck! Vince grabs the mic, and announces that at SummerSlam Kurt Angle will face Brock Lesnar.
Suddenly Stephanie MchMahon's music hits, she makes her way to the ring.
She says that she learned a lesson at Vengeance, she learned that Vince would abuse his own daughter just so his Sable could defeat her. Vince say's he had his reasons for his actions. Steph says that Vince must have felt threatened by Steph's position of power, she says that Vince is a good businessman, but as a family man he's a piece of garbage. He's nothing!
Vince questions who Steph is for standing up to him, Vince says that he thought she would follow in his footsteps as GM, but he's dissapointed. He then says that his worst investment was the day he married her mother. He then says that since she accuses him of physical abuse, Stephanie will face A-Train tonight!
Charlie Haas And Shelton Benjamin vs. Rey Mysterio Jr. and Billy Kidman
Kidman starts with Haas, side headlock by Haas. Kidman breaks free and takes control ith a beautiful leg scissors. Haas turns the tide, corners Kidman but not for long, as Kidman builds momentum. Haas then goes for Kidman's legs and takes him out of commission. Kidman some how tags his partner, Mysterio all fired up, a shot to the face, a spring board attempt is caught, but Mysterio uses the ropes to his advantage, 1-2, almost three. Benjamin tagged in, a viciuous assault, quick cover, Kidman breaks it up. Kidman then lungs himself onto Haas on the outside.
Benjamin on the top rope, but Mysterio launches his opponent with a super leg scissors off the top.
A quick two count almost got him. Benjamin turns the tables, but Mysterio creates an offence, going for a 319 but misses and falls to the outside. Haas tagged in, working on the knee of Mysterio. Arm twist, putting the boots to Mysterio. Both men now isolating their opponent, reverse backbreaker, Shelton tagged in, almost a three count.
Shelton goes to work on Rey's ribs with a big time bear hug.
He breaks lose, swings Rey into the ropes, high knee, 1-2, no 3. Abdominal stretch on Mysterio, he tries to battle out. He succeeds, quick pin, almost gets Benjamin. Haas tagged in A double leap frog, Mysterio comes crashing down on the ropes, Mysterio barely kicks out. Haas loses his balance falls off the top rope, Rey goes fore something but is met with a drop kick in mid air. Kidman saves his partner before the count of three. Mysterio back on his feet, hits a dropkick on Haas, but tweaks his knee. Bejamin tagged in, goes for the cover, but Mysterio kicks out. Mysterio changes the tide miraculously, both men tag out. Kidman Clothesline on Haas, dropkick, back body drop. Skyhigh slam on Haas, almost gets the 3 count. Kidman walks in to a belly to belly suplex by Haas, almost gets counted down!
Haas plants Kidman with a spinebuster, almost a three count. He sets Kidman up for a superplex off the top, Mysterio interferes. Kidman connects with a shotting star press, ref is distracted too long to make the count. Benjamin kicks Kidman with from the outside, Haas rolls up Kidman for the win.
Danny Basham vs. Billy Gunn
Billy Gunn wastes no time in getting things started. He knocks his opponent to the outside. Back the ring, Basham is in control, isolating Gunn in the corner. Billy turns the tide, hard right hands, arm toss, a quick two count. The referee is distracted, allowing The Bashams to double team Gunn with a hard double clotheline, Danny Gets a quick win.
After the match, Shaniqua attacks Torrie Wilson with a Bodyslam, Gunn tries to help, but is double teamed by The Bashams. Then Jamie Noble and Nidia come to the aid of their bedroom friends, but are no match for The Basham Brothers. They hit Noble with a spine buster from the top. Shaniqua then powerboms Nidia into next week!
APA are shown backstage, they question if Shaniqua is a man, Shelton Benjamin in drag to be exact. Ron Simmons says that a lot of people need protection, maybe they should open up for office again.
Big show is then shown leaving Vince McMahon's office.
Big Show vs Undertaker
Both men lock up, Show over powers The Taker. Show corners The Taker, but Taker quickly moves out of the way. A go behind by Taker, Big Show takes control, a headbutt, a big right hand. Taker is thrown into the corner, Taker counters with an elbow, tries to knock Show off his feet, but Show grabs him by the throat. He attempts a choke slam, but Taker counters into an arm bar.
Both men back up, Taker into the ropes, Taker hits a DDT. Almost gets a three count. Big boot to the side of the head, The Big Show falls down like a tree. Big Leg drop by Taker. In control, going after that left shoulder, old school. Taker climbs the ropes, classic Undertaker move. Big Show changes the tide with a sidwalk slam, as The Taker screams in pain.
Hard right hands by The Show, targeting his opponent's injured ribs. Taker with a right hand, followed by two more. But he's quickly taken down with a clothesline by The show, 1-2, but no 3. Big Show attempts to crush his opponents ribs with a big boot to his side.
Taker is fighting on instinct trying to stay in this match, flying clotheline in a moment of desperation, but he may have hurt himself more then his opponent. Big Leg drop, 1-2, almost three. Down come the straps, Taker is in control, heavyweight boxing shots, followed by an avalanche in the corner. Taker goes for a choke slam, but The Show grabs nto the ref, The momenentum knocks both Taker and the ref to the floor.
Both men outside, Taker in control. But Show soon slams the takers head into the steel steps, but Taker pulls through buying himself sometime, tossing Big show over the barricade. Both men fighting in the crowd. Show is clotheslined back over to ringside. Suddenly A-Train appears on the scenes, blasts Taker with a 2X4. The Taker is counted out..
Eddie Guerrero And Chris Benoit join the announce team for color commentary.
Tajiri vs. Rhyno
Tajiri goes to work with superkicks, but it no match for Rhyno's pure strenth as he takes control with a quick count. Tajiri back up, huge kick to the chops, a quick count of his own. Rhyno into the ropes, the tarantula is hooked on. Rhyno breaks free, knock Tajiri to the mat. He then removes the second turn buckle, and drives Tajiri into the exposed steel. Rhyno then misses a gore hits the exposed steel, Tajiri plans his patented superkick and gets the three count.
Benoit then decides to leave with Guerrero in his custom car, once inside he starts mocking Guerrero, making him so upset that he refuses.
John Cena vs. Zach Gowen
Cena grabs the mic, and says that it's ridicuous for Zach Gowen to face Cena, because he's not in his league.
A lot of back and fourth action, Cena is mostly in control. He corners Gowen, but Zach flips over to the outside wrenching his opponents arm on the apron. Zack then uses an amazing offence with just one leg to gain the advantage ...
But it doesn't last long, Cena manhandles Zach like there's no tomorrow. He then sets up his opponent for The FU, but he has second thoughts.
He then drags Zach's lifeless body to the corner, Cena attempts an FU off the top rope, Gowen counters with an arm bar off the top. This is just what Zach needs to create an offence, he hits Cena with drop kick after drop kick, gaining near falls. Zach goes up to the top rope, goes for a flying body press but is caught in mid air. Cena hits the FU, 123.
Stephanie McMahon is shown backatage, she's cornered by A-Train. He tells her that her father payed him a lot of money for him to assault her at the last PPV, but A-Train would have done it for free. He then says how he knows that Steph likes it rough, and he'll deliver tonight!
During the break, footage is shown, while Gowen was being helped back up the aisle, Matt Hardy attacks Gowen out of no where!
Spanky is shown backstage with Funaki and Orlando Jordan. Spanky inadvertantly stands Vince McMahon's jacket with chocolate syrup. Spanky then is ordered to pay for Vince's jacket, but Spanky insults him by reminding him of his bad investment with the XFL. Vince says speaking of investments, Spanky will be forced to face The Real Brock Lesnar, tonight!
Brock Lesnar vs. Spanky
Spanky tries to take it to Lesnar, but is tossed across the ring. He goes to the top but is caught with a repeated powerbomb by Lesnar. Lesnar goes to the outside for a steel chair, he clocks Spanky with all his might, repeatedly on his head and lowerback.
After the match Lesnar continues the assault, wiping his opponents blood all over his chest.
He then tosses Spanky to the outside and hurls him high into the outside steel ring post!
Spanky is a blood mess by this animal that McMahon has unleashed. Lesnar walks away and is met by McMahon, they both raise their arms on top of the stage.
Stephanie is shown backstage making her way to the curtain, she's scared to death!
Vince is in the ring, he says that the ring looks messy, but it will get messier tonight He then introduces special guest ring announcer, Sable!
Stephanie is announced as the woman Sable beat at Vengeance, once Steph enters the ring, Sable says that there will be no count outs so Steph cant run and hide. Steph then attacks Sable taking her down to the ring. A-Train's music then hits.
A-Train vs. Stephanie McMahon
Steph slaps A-train, not once but twice, Steph is then thrown by the hair to the ground. A-Train then hits an avalance in the corner. He drags Steph's lifeless body by her arm, he looks over at Vince who signals a thumbs down.
A-Train then picks up Steph positioning her for a backbreaker.
Suddenly The Undertaker's music hits. A-Train meets him at the ramp, but Taker is in control. The Taker attacks A-Train with a steel chair. Right hands on the ground. But The Big Show comes down with a chair of his own, blasting The Taker.
A-Train heads back to the ring. He positions Steph for an A-Train bomb, he connects, and gets the duke.
After the match, Sable and Vince enter the ring to announce the winner, as they raise A-Train's arms in victory.
Stephanie lays on the floor as Vince and Sable embrace, kissing in front of his daughter. Stephanie lays on the floor gasping for air.
