I don't think that will happen right away ... Sarah (and being pregnant) was brought into the story line to intense things with Taker ... their feud is not over yet ... and as long as Sarah (for example) keeps being part of it, not a chance Brock will change to face ...

Yep that was a good story line, but when you're the one atacking Taker's wife, then there's not much change that will make you face

Smackdown starts with a taped promo of Stephanie running down tonight's card. The tag title tournament will start tonight and finalize at No Mercy.

1st Round Tag Title Tournament
Rikishi and Mark Henry vs Chavo and Eddie Guerrero
Chavo hit Henry in the leg with a chair which allowed Eddie to easily make Henry submit to a leg lock submission hold.

Backstage, Torrie Wilson introduces her dad to Billy and Chuck. Dawn Marie walks up and introduces herself to Torrie's dad. Dawn wishes Torrie good luck in their bikini contest tonight. Photos from this segment can be viewed by clicking the link at the bottom.

Backstage, Paul Heyman tells Brock Lesnar that he has to fight the Undertaker again at No Mercy. Stephanie gets to pick the stipulation of that match. Matt Hardy walks in and says what he will do to Undertaker tonight will pale in comparison to what Lesnar did to Undertaker last week.

Falls Count Anywhere
Matt Hardy vs The Undertaker
Both men made their way backstage. Lesnar attacked Undertaker from behind and hit the F5 thus enabling Matt to get the easy pin. After the match Lesnar hit Undertaker in the hand with a helium tank.

Backstage, Marc Loyd tries to interview Undertaker. Undertaker walks away in pain. Loyd comments to the trainer that Undertaker is in severe pain. The trainer says he thinks Undertaker's hand is broken and he will take him to the hospital for x-rays.

Jamie Noble w/ Nidia vs Crash
Noble got the pin with a rollup and his hands on the ropes.

Backstage, Marc Loyd interviews Kurt Angle. Angle bets that Chris Benoit will lose to Mysterio again tonight. Angle says he is as close to perfect as you can get. Edge walks up and says Angle is not perfect. Angle says his gold medals say he is. Edge says Angle's bald head is proof that he is not. Angle attacks Edge and heads to the ring for their match.

Kurt Angle vs Edge
The first referee got knocked out so a second referee comes down. Angle hit a top rope superplex which Edge rolled through to get the pin. The two referees got into a shoving match over the finish. It is decided that the match will be restarted. Benoit comes out to watch. Angle inadvertantly hits himself with a chair trying to hit Benoit (it bounced off the ropes). Edge gets the easy pin with a spear. Very long match. Probably a good 25 - 30 minutes.

Backstage, Angle goes after Benoit. Stephanie interferes and tells Angle and Benoit that they need to get along because next week they will be tag partners in the tag title tournament. If they don't get along in the ring when they are partners, they will be suspended for one year without pay.

Backstage, Matt Hardy tels Heyman and Lesnar that he beat the Undertaker again, by sheer Mattitude. Matt says if Undertaker is hurt he may not be able to compete at No Mercy. That means there is no #1 contender. And since Matt beat Undertaker that should make him the #1 contender. Heyman suggests that Matt go talk to Stephanie about it. Matt leaves. Heyman jokingly says that Matt would kill Lesnar. Lesnar laughs it off.

Backstage, Faarooq and Reverend Dvon make fun of everyone that lives in Lafayette.

1st Round Tag Title Tournament
Billy and Chuck vs Faarooq and Reverend Dvon
Faarooq nails Billy with the spinebuster while the referee's back was turned which allowed Dvon to get the easy pin.

Torrie Wilson vs Dawn Marie
The crowed cheered louder for Torrie so she is declared the winner by Tazz. After the match Dawn throws Torrie out of the ring. Lots of T&A in this one, view photos from this hot bikini contest by clicking the link directly at the bottom.

Backstage, Stephanie confirms to Heyman and Lesnar that Undertaker's hand is indeed broken. However, the Lesnar/Undertaker match at No Mercy is still on. Stephanie also announces the stipulation of the match - Hell In A Cell.

Rey Mysterio vs Chris Benoit
Angle dropped Benoit on the ropes which allowed Mysterio to hit a hurricanrana for the pin. After the match Benoit puts Angle in the crippler crossface. Referees seperate the two. Angle tries to shake Benoit's hand but Benoit blows snot on him. Referees seperate them again. In the seperation, Benoit and Angle rip Fit Finlay's shirt off. Finlay chases Angle out of the ring for a laugh. Angle re-enters the ring and delivers the olympic slam to Benoit. Lesnar hits the ring and hits back to back F5's on Benoit and Angle to finally clear the ring.

11 October Spoiler:


Undertaker is shown waiting in the parking lot waiting for Brock Lesnar.

Matt Hardy comes to the ring and gets on the mic. Matt says we are in for a special treat tonight. Matt shows footage from last week of himself pinning the Undertaker. Matt says the only reason Undertaker is in the parking lot is because he doesn't want another dose of Mattitude. Undertaker walks to the ring. Matt takes the early advantage by going after Undertaker's broken hand. Undertaker quickly regains the momentum and kicks Matt out of the ring. Undertaker follows out and throws Matt into the security wall. Undertaker brings Matt back in the ring. Lots of referees come in to try and seperate the two to no avail. Out of the ring, Matt hits Undertaker with a chair. Undertaker fights back with big soup bones and even hits Matt with his cast. Undertaker shows pain. Matt slams Undertaker's hand against the ring post. Matt quickly runs to the back. Matt's forehead is a bloody mess. Undertaker walks up the ramp and to the back.

Undertaker is shown in the back being helped by medics. The doctor says he may have broken it in another spot, and encourages Undertaker to go get x-rays.

Rikishi vs Eddie Guerrero w/ Chavo Guerrero
Chavo gets involved and gets superkicked. Rikishi backs that ass up on Chavo and Eddie. Stinkface to both of them at the same time. Eddie brings a chair in the ring and hits Rikishi in the leg. Eddie applies the reverse leg lock submission for the win.

Backstage, Torrie Wilson is looking at lingerie to wear tonight in a lingerie match against Dawn Marie. Torrie's dad walks up to Torrie's suprise.

Backstage, Chris Benoit and Kurt Angle are staring at each other. Stephanie steps in between the two. Stephanie explains she wants the best tag team in history, that is why she is teaming them up. Stephanie reminds the two that if they do not get along in the ring as partners or they will be sitting on their couches at home. Angle says he will win this things regardless of who his partner is, even if he is missing a tooth and a few brain cells. Benoit says that Angle has never been a tag team champion, thus he should follow his rules. The two argue some more as Stephanie shows her frustration.

Backstage, Funaki interviews Rey Mysterio. Mysterio says he and Edge will beat Noble and Tajiri tonight. Nidia walks up and talks to Mysterio in spanish. Rey responds in spanish and Nidia storms off mad.

Backstage, Noble tells Nidia to calm down. Nidia is so upset that she is making Noble mad. Noble tells Nidia not to turn her back on him. Noble chases after Nidia.

Backstage, Eddie and Chavo talk about what they just did to Rikishi. They proclaim they will become tag team champions at No Mercy. Benoit walks up and tells them there is no way he will sit at home. Chavo tells Benoit a rumor that Angle is planning to take some time off, and he better watch his back. Angle walks out of the door into the conversation. Eddie and Chavo walk off. Angle wants to know if they were talking about him. If Benoit does not tell Angle, he will beat it out of him. Benoit laughs and walks away. Angle turns his head the direction that Eddie and Chavo walked, and wonders what they said.

Kurt Angle and Chris Benoit vs John Cena and Billy Kidman
Benoit made Kidman tap out to the crippler crossface. Benoit and Angle argue after the match.

Backstage, Heyman tells a security guy to make sure the entire way out to the ring is clear, because Lesnar is headed out to the ring right now with a very special guest.

Paul Heyman, Brock Lesnar, and an unidentified woman come to the ring. Heyman gets on the mic. Heyman says Undertaker is in the back right now nursing a broken hand. Undertaker has shortened careers in Hell in a Cell. What kind of a man is the Undertaker? But Tracy on the other hand is very qualified to tell us all what kind of man the Undertaker happens to be.

Before Tracy can speak, Undertaker's music hits and he walks to the ring and threatens to hit her. Tracy gets on the mic. Marc how could you lie to me, sleep with me, now I find out you are married. And your wife is pregnant. You are a bastard. I never cared who you were. I never watched wrestling. I even promised you I would never take our relationship public. Now I see why. Sara, your husband lied to me just like he is lying to you. I wonder how many other people you have slept with Marc?

Undertaker snatches the mic. Listen lady, I have no idea who you are. Tracy leaves the ring and walks to the back with Lesnar and Heyman.

Backstage, Heyman tells Tracy it is good that she got that off her chest. Stephanie walks up and asks where they are going. Heyman says they leaving. Stephanie tells them they are not leaving because Lesnar has a match tonight. Heyman says Lesnar does not have a match. Stephanie says that Noble got mad and left, which results in Tajiri not having a partner tonight against Edge and Mysterio. Therefor, she is making Lesnar the partner of Tajiri. Stephanie says if Undertaker interferes then he will not face Brock in the Hell in a Cell.

Billy Gunn w/ Chuck Palumbo vs Dvon
They tacked on Billy and Chuck's last names in the audio and visual. Ron Simmons shows up at ringside. Gunn gets the pin with the fameasser.

Backstage, Undertaker is on the phone with Sara pleading his case. Says he has never seen that girl before. Sara hangs up on Undertaker.

Backstage, Chavo lures Benoit into a room and holds the door shut. You hear some banging and hollaring. A minute later Chavo opens the door and out walks Eddie. Chavo asks if he got the job done. Eddie holds up a bent chair.

Backstage, Torrie Wilson tells her dad that she is not comfortable for her him to see her in lingerie. Torrie asks her dad if he will wait in the back during the match. The dad agrees and Torrie walks to the ring. Dawn Marie walks up, opens her robe, and asks the dad if he has ever saw the twin peaks before.

Lingerie Showdown Match
Torrie Wilson vs Dawn Marie
Tazz introduces the competitors. Torrie comes out first in a white robe. Dawn Marie comes out next wearing a black robe. Dawn takes off her robe first and reveals purple garter lingerie. Torrie takes her robe off and reveals a white one piece bathing suit cut up the middle. The fans cheer louder for Torrie so she is the winner.

Backstage, Lesnar asks Heyman for his phone. Lesnar calls Sara to see if she is ok. Sara says she does not know who he is. Lesnar says he can't believe she does not know his voice by now, it's Brock Lesnar. Sara hangs up.

First Round Tag Title Tournament
Tajiri and Brock Lesnar w/ Paul Heyman vs Edge and Rey Mysterio
Edge hit Tajiri with a spear for the pin. After the match Lesnar suplexed Edge on the floor, threw Rey back into the ring, and F5's Tajiri. Undertaker enters the ring and nails Lesnar in the face with his cast. Lesnar and Heyman make a quick exit. Undertaker raises Edge's hand at the top of the stage.

After the camera stop rolling, Edge and Undertaker walk back to ringside. Edge wants Undertaker to do the takeroonie. Undertaker smiles and walks away to the top of the stage. Luis Gonzalez of the Arizona Diamondbacks is shown sitting in the first row. Edge brings Gonzo, wearing an arm sling, into the ring. Edge says he used to have a partner by the name of Christian. Mentions that people liked the 5 second pose. Edge asks the fans if they want to see him and Gonzo do the 5 second pose. Loud cheers.




Seems like they're trying to pull a same short of story on Taker, like they're doing on Kane ...


Edge & Rey Rey could easily be the first Smackdown Tag Champs ever

It looks like they are really picking things up as far as storylines are concerned. It's is getting DAMN interesting to say the least.

It's been a while since I've seen the angle of having two bitter rivals forced to tag together and go for the Tag Team Titles. But it's usually very interesting.

After SmackDown! goes off the air, Sean O'Haire continues to beat down Mr. America until he Hulks up and cleans the ring of Piper and O'Haire. He then lifts his mask almost all the way off his face and reveals that he is indeed Hulk Hogan (as if there were any doubt). He closes by waving the American flag and posing, before using hand motions to tell the crowd to keep the news about him being Hogan quiet.

Vince McMahon is shown arriving to the arena in a very bad mood. Vince heads straight to the ring with a mic in hand. Vince says he is not happy about all the mistakes that have happened on SmackDown such as Mr. America's contract. Every attempt to prove that Mr. America is Hulk Hogan has failed. Vince says he was embarassed at Judgment Day by some handicapped kid. Vince says all the mistakes are gonna change starting tonight. Vince says Stephanie is still GM, but as of tonight, he is taking over. Vince guaran-damn-tees by the end of the night, we will see a smile on his face. WWE Tag-Team Championship - Team Angle (c) vs. Eddie Guerrero & Tajiri Eddie Guerrero and Tajiri beat Team Angle by DQ when Haas got caught using a chair. Winners: Eddie Guerrero & Tajiri Backstage, Stephanie asks Vince why he is so obsesses with Mr. America. Stephanie wants to make sure Vince knows what he is doing. Vince says after tonight he will be out of control. -commercial- Vince comes back down to the ring. Vince says Judgment Day was supposed to be the day that Piper beat Mr. America and then would have allowed Vince to rip the mask off Mr. America and prove that he really is Hulk Hogan. You have heard the expression that you have to pay the Piper? Tonight, the Piper will have to pay Mc. McMahon. So allow me to introduce you to Roddy Piper who will apologize to me. Piper and O'Haire come to the ring. Piper says as difficult as it is for a man like him, he apologizes. Vince tells Piper that he wanted to beat Hogan as badly as he did but all he gets is an apology? Vince calls Piper an SOB. Piper says if Vince touches him again he will rip his throat out. Vince says that will not happen and O'Haire has to seperate the two. O'Haire says if anyone is to blame for what happened at Judgment Day it is him. He dropped the ball. O'Haire knows that they all want revenge. O'Haire proposes that he face Mr. America right here tonight in this ring. Vince agrees to the match. Vince says if O'Haire does not beat Mr. America tonight then Piper is fired. Piper says O'Haire will rip Mr. America's mask off and prove the fraud that Hogan really is. -commercial- Kurt Angle commercial says he will return to SmackDown! in two weeks. John Cena vs. Spanky John Cena beat Spanky with the fireman's carry slam. Winner: John Cena Backstage, The FBI talk about the match they have with Brock Lesnar tonight. They mention that he is not 100% after the stretcher match at Judgment Day. They laugh because Lesnar does not know which one of them he will face tonight. -commercial- Backstage, Matt Hardy, Shannon Moore, and Crash say that Greensboro sucks because it lacks Mattitude. Non Title Match - Chris Benoit vs. Matt Hardy w/ Shannon Moore & Crash Rey Mysterio is at the announce table for this match. Chris Benoit beat Matt Hardy w/ Shannonre Moore & Crash win the crippler crossface. Mysterio did his part towards the end of the match on keeping Moore and Crash out of the ring. After the match Matt issues Mysterio a shot at the cruiserweight title anytime he wants as long as he can beat Crash and Moore in a match right now. Winner: Chris Benoit Handicap Match - Rey Mysterio vs. Shannon Moore & Crash Rey Mysterio beat Shannon Moore & Crash after a huricanrana on Crash. After the match Matt gives both Crash and Shannon the twist of fate. Mysterio is helped to the back by trainers. Not sure if he was really hurt or they are just playing up his previous injury angle. Winner: Rey Mysterio -commercial- Backstage in a special Smackdown set, Stephanie interview Zach Gowen. Stephanie asks about his prostetic leg. Zach says he was 8 years old in 1991 when he had to get his leg amputated. Stephanie brings up the Make A Wish foundation and how they came to his hospital bed. His wish was to meet Hulk Hogan but he passed on the wish because he knew he was going to live. Stephanie asks Zach what his next goal is. Zach says his goal is to become a professional wrestler and with Hogan's help he may one day wrestle on Smackdown. Vince is shown elsewhere backstage watching the interview wrap up. -commercial- Backstage, Mr. America is taking pictures for a photographer. Vince walks up and says that if Mr. America loses his match tonight that he will agree to submit to a lie detector test. Mr. America says he is not losing tonight and he is not taking any test. Vince says the reason he will not take the test is because he is afraid we will find out. Vince tells Mr. America that Zach Gowen will never sign a WWE contract. Mr. America agrees to take the test provided he does lose tonight. Mr. America calls Vince an SOB and walks off. Brock Lesnar vs. Johnny Stamboli w/ Nunzio & Chuck Palumbo Brock Lesnar beat Johnny Stamboli by DQ when Nunzio and Chuck Palumbo interfered. After the match the FBI were triple teaming Lesnar until The Undertaker came down to make the save. Winner: Brock Lesnar -commercial- Sable comes down to the ring with a mic in hand. Sable says she is here tonight for two reasons. Sable says she is on the cover of the new Raw magazine, which she has in her hand. Sable plugs the magazine saying the pictures inside are even hotter. Sable questions Tazz's excitement over Torrie Wilson's appearance last Sunday. Sable says she does not think it is fair that Tazz made Torrie Wilson the winner of their bikini contest without asking the audience. Sable gets out of the ring and steps on the announce table in front of Tazz. Sable says she is hot right now and pours water down her chest. Sable says Tazz's decision at Judgment Day was a bit premature but premature comes naturally to him. Sable dumps water on Tazz's head and leaves. Backstage, Vince and Piper talk with O'Haire about his upcoming match with Mr. America. Vince reminds them what will happen if O'Haire loses. Piper promises that Vince will have a happy night tonight. Vince says he will one way or the other. -commercial- Mr. America w/ Zach Gowen vs. Sean O'Haire w/ Roddy Piper During the match Vince comes down to the ring with police officers to arrest Zach Gowen for criminal trespass and assault because Zach does not have a backstage pass and he assaulted Vince at Judgment Day. During the confusion Mr. America is counted out and Sean O'Haire is declared the winner. Winner: Sean O'Haire
