Seeing as how the Ministry of Darkness was my most favorite WWF moment, I strongly object to the Undertaker going back to this image.
That might not sound logical at first, but when you take a good look at NDD's post, that logic becomes more clear.
Simply said, the WWE is incapable of revamping older gimmicks and give them a success run, based on what we have seen. Therefore, if they would choose to bring it back, they would most likely destroy the good name this gimmick has by totally screwing it up.
So please let this gimmick rest in peace and be forever memorized as one of the greatest gimmicks in WWF history.
But I doubt that they will. Seeing as the WWE is on a road to doom regarding ratings, they will do whatever it takes to get more viewers. So I can already say my prayers hoping they will make this one count.
What I can see happening is the Undertaker losing the match against Vince McMahon at Survivor Series, thus being "burried alive". Then he can stay out of the spotlight for some time and come back from the dead as the Lord of Darkness at WrestleMania, fighting his final match before going into retirement. Simply said: going out with a bang.
However, the retirement will probably not be fact. He could then switch to RAW and go after Kane, but then it will be nothing more but history repeating itself. I think it's either a good move for him to go into retirement, or no move at all. And that's pretty much... the bottom... line. |
